Have you not recongized the amount of times people have quoted Popes, Bishops and Priests saying abortion is the overriding factor when it comes to voting and that you can not vote for a pro abortion candidate when there is an alternative?
He hasnt but hopefully Lurkers have.

Have you not recongized the amount of times people have quoted Popes, Bishops and Priests saying protecting life from conception to natural death is the overriding factor when it comes to voting, a ‘non negotiable’ as Pope Benedict calls it
‘Overriding’ is not ‘only’. If it were, the Church should boldly come out and say so: forget everything else (no need for deliberations, soul-searching, research or weighing of issues) and vote only based on what a candidate says about abortion.

BTW, you haven’t answered the question. Does being pro-life in and of itself make one capable of leading a country? If yes, where are the pro-life presidential candidates? They should be falling over each other to get our votes.

You are unfortunately very simply, well, completely wrong. Sorry, but all of the documents sited here many times show different than what you believe. Abortion and other intrinsic evils outweigh any other reasons. Only if both candidates hold the same views on abortion can the proportionate reason be weighed.
This is why calls for “definitive” guidance from the Vatican are a joke. Even if the Pope flat out said “No Catholic can vote for Obama,” we’d get pages of dissent talking about informed consciences and whatnot. The Church has been clear enough, at least in the last decade or so. Pride binds us to our own opinions, the Church’s be damned. The same pride that caused Lucifer to be cast out because he said “I will not serve” is the single greatest threat to living in a world as God intended.

Never thought I’d agree with you, BroomWagon, but I do: those layoffs being done in response to Obama’s election are simply uncharitable.
Yes, the tax hikes and regulations from Obamacare have nothing to do with it. These successful moguls are all willing to lose money to prove a point. Sure.

Adultery does not compare to Abortion, Adultery does not take an innocent life.
Even if MM was trying to defend the indefensible, neither candidate was pro-adultery. One was pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and pro-embryonic stem cell research.

Talk about a red herring. If a candidate was pro-adultery, faithful Catholics would object. Since neither was, that was a pointless link.

Yes Obama won. But he did it with smooth talking, scandalous ads and lies. And he was aided most unscrupulously by the main stream media.
And so far 650,000 people have signed various petitions requesting secession from the US.
