Truth doesn’t change. There is no “adjustment”. Doctrinal development does not mean that doctrine changes.
Have you talked to your confessor about this? There is no room for opinion on this subject. The truth is absolute.
I am sure no true Scotsman would ever use it. I know it is misused, but misuse must not discount the legitimacy of those who use it properly. The Gospel this last week showed how it can be used properly, and the proper remedy of humility.Jesus didn’t play this card to deflect actual concerns and questions. Only Protestants and Modernists use this card to shut up “trads” when they don’t approve of Novus Ordo Mass, Versus Populum, or worldly contemporary music at mass.
The key of C is absolute, but it is not truth. Truth only applies to God, and those things which are revealed in his Word. It does not apply to most of what we do, as we are not God. This is not relativism. It is humility. There is no room for opinion on this subject. The truth is absolute.
Acts 10:14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”Creation is beautiful, but it is corrupted by original sin and fallen angels.
No, that is relativism. Is the statement you just made true? If not then I should not and can not believe it. If true then it undermines the claim being made. The key of C is absolute, but it is not truth. Truth only applies to God, and those things which are revealed in his Word. It does not apply to most of what we do, as we are not God. This is not relativism. It is humility.
I haven’t noticed relativism or modernism being really misued. Humanism can be misused, depending on what time period you refer to.Truth only applies to God, and those things which are revealed in his Word. It does not apply to most of what we do, as we are not God.
Could you define the subject being discussed to bring this all back on track? There is no room for opinion on this subject. The truth is absolute.
“To thee do we turn, morning and weeping in this vale of tears.” Is that not conducive to the joy expected of Christians?Evil is with us, but to expect to find it at every turn is not conducive to the joy that is expected of Christians
He has shown far more charity than those who are belittling him.And simply saying “you are young.” Is not a refutation of any of my arguments. Please, if you are willing to debate, answer my points as I have answered yours.
