Thanks for the clarification, Guardian. My point was that, at least in matters of salvation, we can trust the bible to be inerrant. It may well be inerrent even beyond that, but I just don’t want anyone worrying that errors in scripture could compromise their salvation. I am sure you would agree there, given there is no real “error” in scripture anywayNow, while people here are quoting the Catechism (CCC 107) saying the Bible is inerrant only in things necessary for our salvation is simply false. The Catechism is not aligning with the infallible claims of the Church throughout the centuries. The Church has stated time and time again the Scriptures are inerrant on everything it asserts to be true, regardless if it’s for our salvation or not.
