I weigh the two issues about the same - neither is likely to have a large impact.

People who genuinely believe Trump has the ability to “make American great” or those who want a Washington outsider and don’t care who it is.

And people who like a candidate who is not beholden to any donors. Huge plus for me.

NB: at this point I am voting Cruz in my primary, BTW

Many non Catholic Christians believe artificial birth control is okay (aka Cruz) as is divorce. Many do not believe in transubstanation or the Pope being the direct inheriter of Peter’s position or in Purgatory. While they may believe in the same God, they do not believe in His Church or his ability to prevail throughout the centuries (somehow he disappeared until Luther’s time).

The enemy of my enemy is not always my friend.

I too liked Dr. Carson. Until I found out Carson was NOT Pro-Life.

That bothered me.

I do not think Carson got beat so bad in Iowa because of Cruz supporters Tweeting of a CNN news story.

I’ll try to address soon at least why I think Dr. Carson’s numbers tanked so bad so fast . . . and tanked BEFORE the Iowa caucuses (this is at least why he tanked with me and others I know. Admittedly we dId not attend Iowa caucuses but it is still why Carson lost our support).

That has nothing to do with the issue, though. It was wrong what the Superpac did about Carson, regardless of Carson’s politics. It was also wrong to leak risque pics of Trump’s wife in Utah. Smart politics? Yeah, I guess. Imagine Reagan doing it, though.
