It’s a bit more complicated than that. Cruz did say “carpet bombing”, so the above statement isn’t a lie … those who have studied the issue carefully will know that the definition he used for “carpet bombing” isn’t the standard definition. But many people who heard him don’t know that.
Which just goes to show Cruz is willing to deliberately fan the flames of hatred in his audience by misusing a term. I was watching the GOP debate when Cruz first said that; he did NOT make it clear he was talking about carper bombing troops, but made it sound like he favored carpet bombing Syria and the Arab middle east. The GOP audience of course applauded feverishly. Cruz is as unscrupulous as any other politician out there, yes, that includes Trump and yes that includes Hillary Clinton. The worst part is he presents himself as a devout Christian, so his unscrupulousness just feeds the narrative that Christians are hypocrites.

Pro Democrats insist on embellishing their candidates moral values to recommend abortion not be factor in denying Catholic voting. It takes a lot of refuting their claims because they have repetition down to a science and work in consort. They claim a thread is being hijacked if they get rejection and admonishment of their canned talking points.
Where have I embellished a candidate’s values? Or worked with anyone else? And if you want to know why I’m up, I went to a movie at 9:00. Just got home.

Expatreprocedit. You said:

Please link to that Expatreprocedit.

Its possible at another time that Cruz was unclear. These guys give enormous amounts of talks.

I have seen Senator Cruz MANY times talk about bombing ISIS and I NEVER got the impression you did.

So please show me the quotes.

Here was the Senator Cruz quote from the NH debate (here) . . . .

QUOTE:
SENATOR CRUZ “That is targeted at oil facilities. It’s targeted at the oil tankers. It’s targeted at command-and-control locations, It’s targeted at infrastructure, it’s targeted at communications, it’s targeted at bombing all of the roads and bridges going in and out of Raqqa,”

I’d like to see what YOU are referring to so I can check the context myself.

I can’t say I agree 100% with all you said, but I certainly think that this country was deeply divided already, before Trump through his hat into the race.

Lily: the last message posted by me was not directed at you but to the posters aligned with the party of death.

CCC 366 The Church teaches that every **spiritual soul is created immediately **by God - it is not “produced” by the parents - and also that it is immortal: it does not perish when it separates from the body at death, and it will be reunited with the body at the final Resurrection.235

382 “Man, though made of body and soul, is a unity” (GS 14 § 1). The doctrine of the faith affirms that the spiritual and immortal soul is **created immediately **by God.

The Church teaches clearly. The soul is immediately created upon conception. And the Church also teaches clearly that at conception they are a human being, not a potential person. Your views are contrary to Church teaching.
If I add extra words to the Catechism, I can make it say whatever I want, too.

The US Constitution makes it clear that only persons have rights. The unborn are not legal persons under the US Constitution.
Which, by the way, is exactly what Antonin Scalia consistently said. His position was that nothing in the Constitution prevents states from illegalizing abortion, but he also said that the unborn have no rights under the Constitution. For him it was a states’ rights issue.

They also demonize Republican candidates beyond recognition You have to keep refuting it because there a lot of lurkers . You are correct it doesn’t matter what amount of documentation you give them they will always come up with some excuse as to why it’s okay for them to illicitly support evil

Very true, and very sad.

I agree with him.

I agree with him.
2270 Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.7

Where have I embellished a candidate’s values?.
You have embellished the values of Hillary, because Hillary said simply that religious beliefs have to change. You embellished her statement by saying that she meant that this only applied to a religion where the man was the boss and the woman had no say. She never said such a thing. Further, I did not see where you gave an example of a religion which teaches that the woman has no say.

I thought she was a professor of Roman Catholic theology?

I don’t know why a Roman Catholic theology professor would claim that is not true?
