Voting for a candidate who supports abortion is, at most, remote material cooperation with evil, and it carries little to no culpability.
As has been shown repeatedly and with voluminous documentation this statement is simply not true

I truncated your post. The discussion about proportionate reasons has been had multiple time on this forum. I’ve seen you two times now make a comment about voting and remote material cooperation but you don’t add that it’s if there are proportionate reasons.

Sally Butler: You have my deepest heartfelt sympathy and prayers. I have lost 3 children to miscarriage, lost in the space of 3 years a singleton pregnancy and one surprise twin pregnancy at age 44. That last pregnancy was confirmed to be twins in different sacs by ultrasound. Unfortunately they did not survive. So know that I have felt what you have gone through and you have my prayers. I really wish I had those children here but it was not to be-They are in heaven with our Lord.

They voted, trump lost because he put no effort into winning there (same in Colorado). States have the constitutional right to decide how their delegates are chosen. The rules have not been changed, trump had the same opportunities as Cruz.
Fair or not they all have the same playing field. Maybe Cruz should also cry foul against states that are “winner take all”. tRump wins by 35% and gets 100% of the delegates? must be some kind of “establishment” conspiracy…
This-exactly. The different rules regarding the states were known to the candidates at the time they signed on to run and it is the candidate’s job to navigate and read up on the different rules and primaries, caucuses, ect of each state, either the candidate or those running his/her campaign. Now maybe those rules of certain states aren’t great rules, but they were there already and nobody “stole” any delegates.
There were some states, such as Florida, where Trump won 100% of the delegates with less than 50% of the vote( I think 40% something or even less?) Was that fair to the others? No ,but it is the way Florida does things.
Also, this business about getting rid of the Electoral College being put out by some Trump supporters, and only going by popular vote- that would insure only densely populated states such as California or New York would win the elections, and the small, or sparsely populated states would have no say. Just sayin"

I’m actually surprised the name calling is allowed on CAF which purports not to favor or oppose any party. And one would think a Catholic internet site would oppose a “party of death” if there ever were such a thing.
I don’t think it’s comparable to calling Ted Cruz a “dirty dirty dog” or changing his name to “Lyin’ Ted”, but fwiw I don’t call the Dem Party “the party of death”.

Is it “misleading” to insist a 4 year old girl has a soul Lily Bernans?

Thank you. I know that I grieved. But I don’t know if I grieved for a soul or the possibility of a soul.

Our Lord said that the Father knew you before you were knit in your mother’s womb and that is pretty clear to me that the soul is created first and is “you” through your earthly life, before, and after, for all eternity. Love is in our souls - feel free to ask God that this love is shared with your babe presently and forever. Trust in Jesus!

That is a very important question, if the question of the immediacy of this so-called infusion has an indeterminate point of reference.

In South Carolina he just had 32.5% of the votes, but that one may not go to him after all, what with not supporting the GOP nominee.

Yes! and this shows the wisdom of the 12th amendment. To limit centralized government

And also the moment he gets YUGE applause from the New York crowd when talking about “New York Values” – Upstaters understand exactly what he meant.
Perhaps so; but still I think it was unwise of Cruz to repeat Trump’s claim (I’m thinking particularly of the 1/15/16 debate) without qualifier, e.g. he could have said "Donald Trump says he has New York values … " rather than simply "Donald Trump *has *New York values … "

Cruz is finishing a distant third in New York. People are actually voting. He only wins when there aren’t actual people voting.

The Church teaches that all living things have a soul, and humans have an immortal soul.
Therefore, the reasoning would seem to me that for a baby to die it had to be alive at one time, therefore a human baby has an immortal soul.

I’m sorry for the loss of your baby, I have lost eight sweet babies due to miscarriage, and I hope and pray to meet them one day in Heaven.
