is it just me or have we totally debunked the LDS Church?
I think it kind of debunked itself to be honest.is it just me or have we totally debunked the LDS Church?
I’m sure that none of them will dare to look at it.That map is shocking. Will any true blue mormon reply to that map?
We AREN’T?The problem is that Mormons are not allowed to read anything that is not “faith-promoting”. So they choose to be willfuly ignorant of these truths.
We AREN’T?

Wrong again, Diana. First, I find it odd that you address Paul’s comment and not the real issue of this thread.
Second, I WAS LDS…I was ORDERED not to read things that did not promote faith. I was Excommunicated (after I requested my name removed from LDS rolls) for speaking against the LDS Church IN MY OWN HOME.
So, Paul is the only one in your dialogue who is telling the truth
There was a legal case regarding that, and the church lost.
Of course…and I don’t even have to do this myself. go here. That map is shocking. Will any true blue mormon reply to that map?

Yep. AFTER I began asking quations due to things I read in LDS books, they told me to NOT ask questions, just BELIEVE. When I later asked to be released from my callings, they began to harass me. Then they tried to kidnap my children. So I asked my name to be removed from the LDS Rolls…then I got a letter telling me I had to attend a Church Court. I refused. They exd me. I was told later that one of the accusations was that I spoke against the LDS Church IN MY HOMEThey ex’d you after you requested name removal? That’s a big no no.

lol…I always expect the sheep to blindly follow what LDS leaders and apologists can dream up. Holley’s work is good and the similar names are funny, sad, and scary.Of course…and I don’t even have to do this myself. go here.
From that you can see how Holley, while claiming that the Book of Mormon map matches Joseph Smith’s neighborhood, didn’t come close to placing the names where they were described as being in the BoM.
Whether you agree with this response or not, please stop assuming that this hasn’t been addressed and that “True Believing Mormons” cannot, and will not, deal with it.
This is one of the funniest conversations I’ve seen on this forum. “Shocking”? No–par for the course for people with the tiniest bit of knowledge about their subject and yet able to be believed by people with even less knowledge about the subject. Such is life. That map is shocking. Will any true blue mormon reply to that map?

I didn’t write that. Please attribute the quotes correctly. They ex’d you after you requested name removal? That’s a big no no.

Where is Cumorah? And when did the battle take place? One thing that has puzzled me…
At the hill Cumorah, where Joe allegedly found the plates, at least two huge battles took place. LDS leaders have stated unequivocally that the Jaredites AND the Nephites/Lamanites had great battles at Cumorah where literally hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of people were killed. We also read in the Book of Mormon that the Nephites used chariots pulled by horses.
PaulDupre-Some LDS have explained to me that if they found real evidence, it would spoil everything, because then they would not be able to live by faith. That’s why they don’t excavate the Hill Cumorah.![]()
Hi Parker - Where do YOU say Cumorah is?This is one of the funniest conversations I’ve seen on this forum. “Shocking”? That court case was just a year or so prior to my request for name removal. The policy had not yet filtered down to the local leadership, and I was certainly not aware of it. Like STM, when I requested my name be removed from the records, I was charged with apostacy and summoned to a church court. I politely declined to attend, informing the bishop that I no longer recognized his authority. The court was held in my absence, and my wife and I were ex’d for apostacy. They ex’d you after you requested name removal? That’s a big no no.

I did not write the words you have here attributed to me.[They ex’d you after you requested name removal? That’s a big no no.

I do not believe that he was ORDERED not read things that did not promote faith, and I do not believe that he was excommunicated AFTER he requested for ‘speaking out against the church in his own home after asking to have his name removed.’
I can believe that he was excommunicated for 'speaking out against the church in his own home," because the place one expresses heresy doesn’t change the heresy. The fact that he spoke against the church in front of witnesses is sufficient.
…as, by the way, is it sufficient for Catholics and everybody else. No belief system is required to allow members to remain members when they publically disagree with doctrine…and ‘publically’ means 'in front of others, ’ not 'anyplace but my house."
Shoot, Catholics don’t even wait for courts and evidence to excommunicate people. They have this policy of automatic excommunications; it’s quite possible for a Catholic to be excommunicated—and never know it.
The battle supposedly took place around 400 AD, nearly 1100 years before Columbus.Where is Cumorah? And when did the battle take place?
Horses were not living in America until the Spanish brought them over from Europe. I was just curious if this battle of Cumorah was pre or post Columbian exchange.
