A better compromise might be Guam. Not so touristy, but still a US Territory.

Important Fact I Learned Today: There are 15 Taco Bells in Guam. There are 0 Taco Bells in Mexico. They tried opening two of them in Mexico City a while back. TB’s tacos are so unlike real ones, they had to be called “Tacos Estados”. They both went out of business within two years.

This is why I’m not in a relationship. They are too confusing. Too much drama for my puir, wee self.

🤣 The gun thing wasn’t a thing until fairly recently. My own take on it is our society has unraveled somewhat and the shooters get way, way too much publicity.Still, it’s not something most worry about on a constant basis unless they’re in a bad neighborhood. Tornadoes? Can be deadly, but brief, only during certain times of the year–as opposed to those weird bugs and snakes and spiders and jellyfish and…things that live there and one has to be aware of all the time.😲
Continental ice storms? Nah, too much news coverage again.

In central Indiana we think of ourselves as nice people who sit on the front porch drinking iced tea, or else inside drinking hot chocolate, playing Euchre. That “howdy pardner” stuff is for Texas.

That is because we really are nice people, unless you pester us during March Madness(Basketball tournaments).
😁 I usually greet people with a simple “hello”, “hi” or a friendly wave.
