You’re thinking of Petco 😠. They used to sell woofers and meowers. Tweeters too 🐦.

Social media follows one of Clarke’s laws… 90% of anything is cr#&.

On the other hand, we Curmudgeons control the other 10%.

Toilet paper is one of the most unsung blessings to humanity. When I visited military daughter during her assignment in Turkey, we did some traveling. Outside of cities the toilets consisted of a keyhole shape in the floor, with a hose and a bucket containing a sponge on a stick. The mind boggles. We carried our own supplies. But I suppose that’s how our ancestors managed. Yuk

Petco doesn’t sell woofers, meowers, and tweeters anymore? That would be too bad. I k know several people who got their pets there.

I think this was posted once before here but it bears repeating.

Around here, they stopped selling dogs because of the backlash against puppy mills. They still do cat adoptions once a month from the local shelters. But this is P.C. Cali, so maybe they still sell dogs and cats in other states. Way back when I worked in a pet store, the owner said he made very little money from selling animals. All the money was in supplies and feed, so it was probably an easy decision for Petco.

We got our two cats at Petco, on a Sunday when they were having kitten adoptions. They had about nine kittens there – so much sweet cuteness, they were handing out free insulin injections to everyone considering adopting.

Our local Petco will sometimes have dog adoptions from different rescue organizations. But no sales.

I managed to get Hep A in Africa that way ,and Malaria .Came home ,married and was pregnant as well…thank God bubs was fine and both diseases treated with no ill affects. The malaria had to be treated after the baby was born.It did open my eyes just how common it was back then, and what people face.
I had been vaccinated for hep A ,l caught malaria in a zone I visited very briefly ,having neglecting taking chloroquine beforehand.

This opinion piece was in our diocesan newspaper for some reason 😠. Another kerfuffle from Down Under, as if we don’t have enough of our own

So, it’s all my fault now, is it??? 😠

And what do you mean “another” kerfuffle from down under. What was the last one - Johnny Depp’s dogs being expelled by our quarantine?

The recent problems at this Catholic girls school (which go beyond the shorts) has actually had a bit of following in Australia in the anti-PC crowd, and it looks like your writer left out the most of the background.

I had a feeling there was more to the story, which is why I posted, certain that one of the Oceania Mudgies would promptly set things straight.

Unfortunately, your Daily Telegraph wants me to pay to read the article, which is decidedly against my principles 😠.

It’s raining!!Its raining,it’s raining it’s raining …🙃

😆 😃 🌧️
Woke to the rumble of thunder and heavy drops.
Settle the dust, make the grass start to grow again…I love seeing that green tinge appear across the countryside, our season starting again after a long summer and no green paddocks since December or even November.
We need heavy rain to kickstart the farming season,if it turns green then stubbles can be burnt, crops can be sown.
Not a lot is forcasted…but thunderstorms can be unpredictable .
I have an iron roof ,and the sound is just lovely 😃

Our rainstorm just finished up and moved on this morning. Maybe it’s the same one raining on you now 🤔🤨

Oh, BTW: Here in Iowa, we’re going to have a snowstorm. Up to 8 inches of heavy, wet snow, perfect for hiding frozen patches on the roads and sidewalks.

I’m dreaming of a white Easter…

Why thank you much appreciated 🙂 Anytime, just turn that fan on and blow it over in this direction.

That’s…horrible 😬 Muzhik…give me mould any day .Good luck ,how do you survive?!

We are going to get the same spring/winter storm here in central Indiana. The road crews will be out overnight laying down salt with deicer and the trash trucks will most likely be diverted by having snowplows attached to the front to push the nasty white stuff of the major roads. Sometimes elections depend on that. Then, being early spring, the s$%w will melt fairly quickly (I hope).
We are supposed to go to a wedding tomorrow, so I’m hoping the road crews get to it.
