Hey, now would be a good opportunity to hide those Easter Eggs, under a nice blanket of snow!

I’m half watching a documentary about Suleimon the Magnificent…it caught my attention when the narrator
mentioned "his very big hat " 🧐

Is a snow storm exciting ? Or more of just a bother ?
It can be outstandingly beautiful when the snow sticks to the trees and everything looks like lace. The problem is getting around even with plows and ice melt. When melted snow is on asphalt, particularly, it can freeze while still looking like water or even just asphalt, becoming the dreaded black ice. It also makes pushing a shopping cart or even walking difficult even on a cleared parking lot because there is really no way to get it all scraped off completely. Besides which winter is supposed to be OVER.
it’s supposed to hover around freezing here. Milt is a bit further south.

I do hope the documentary isn’t the usual bashing of Christian society and praising the supposed peacefulness of the Islamic state.😡🤮 I am in good mudgie form tonight.🤬

Not at all 🙂 it was based around trying to find his palace ,artifacts ,and his heart buried in a gold box somewhere…treasure hunters delight 😁

At first, I thought Suleiman the Magnificent was just another name for Nadya Suleman, the local woman who was briefly a media sensation here for having octuplets (also known as Octomom) 😠

I think when I die I’ll have the finger I use to type all my posts here sent to Catholic Answers headquarters to be enshrined in their chapel. ☝️

Just a bit older news than that.
I wonder if Edmundas received rain in that part of the country? At a guess we had 50points ,but it has made a world of difference…the weather is beautiful.I’ve heard the wind returns strong tomorrow.I don’t really mind as there won’t be the dust (unless it dries out quick)
Not too long ago farming practices were different, sheep went out onto crop stubbles to graze ,which caused more soil erosion.
On days of strong winds the top soil would be blown and lift into the air …a dust storm. We used to receive dust from the north that was red.(brown here)
Quite hazardous to drive in.
A huge difference now with a fresh farming approach .

I’m two generations removed from my ancestors’ agricultural roots. One of my great grandfathers was successful as a grower of apples in southwestern Michigan. Two of his sons raised hogs and became rich as early innovators of factory farming, keeping their pigs in cramped conditions to maximize yield 😠. My grandfather, around the time of the Great Depression, had the choice of trying his hand at farming or reenlisting in the US Navy. He chose the Navy, which brought him to California and eventually led to my very urban existence 🏙️.

@edmundus1581 I miss tomyris and the old forum chats, too. I mean sort of. 😠 But she came back recently, and something primal in me told me to hide.

What are the blue dots next to certain thread titles? Anyone?

Do you mean after the name of the thread there’s a blue dot that indicates you were tracking the thread and the number inside the blue dot that tells you how many posts you haven’t read? I don’t know.

Yes, it’s after the title, but it’s very small, and I don’t see a number in it. It has no bearing on which thread I’ve visited…

Today, super busy. Moving all the bedrooms around and painting the walls. And then a date tonight. This is our fourth date, and we’re kinda likin each other a lot. But this has all happened before so I remain suspicious. 😠 It would be nice if I could just hire a wise clone that I could remotely control (at leisure) to live my life. But I know, I know, that’s not why we’re here.

if I could just hire a wise clone
If I had a clone, I probably wouldn’t have retired yet. To be more specific, he wouldn’t have retired yet. We’d both be living a lot more comfortably now with his extra income 😠.

Yeah, that’s the biggest reason I still put in some hours with the Uni…
