I never heard of them. Are they the little vertebrae looking things?

Yes they are, My kids used to look for them quite a bit, and make necklaces.

I’ve run across people on the internet who believe that the central Australian ocean existed in what could be called “historical times”, i.e., around 5,000 years ago. There is evidence that there was an asteroid strike in the Arabian Sea between India and Saudi Arabia around that time. That would have thrown up literally tons of water into the atmosphere, leading to endless rain, as well as tsunamis around the world. It would have formed the basis for the story of Noah’s Ark. The rainfall plus the tsunamis would have re-flooded central Australia, temporarily creating an interior ocean.

In their theory, this ocean might still have been around by the time King Solomon sent sailors around the oceans collecting specimens for him to study. This, in turn, might have led to the establishment of Hebrew colonies in that part of the world. These groups are attempting to use genetics to show that there is a significant Jewish genome embedded in aboriginal genes.

I love oddball science. Every so often it turns out to be true.

Is this related to Lemuria, perhaps? It can’t be Atlantis – too far away from the Pillars of Hercules (Straits of Gibraltar.)

Or maybe it’s Portlandia’s cute little sister…

That’s a pretty old article,I’m sure scientists have made a lot more progress since then.Ill have to search around.

Somehow we missed out on looking for them. I’ve seen them around though.

I’ve been working on a top-secret scientific project to discover what life in the Curmudgeonarium looked like 800 million years ago.

So far, this is what I’ve found…

Something must have gone wrong after that. I’m not pointing any fingers… yet…😠

Well at least they were clothed, that’s a good start …
but soo happy looking,that can’t be right…

I think you adjusted that time machine wrong. Cumudgeonarium? Happy? Aw come on. I may have fallen off the turnip truck, but you don’t see any tire marks.

I’m not even sure if I’ve passed my Curmugion initiation test yet, …I’m finding it hard to to be kindly-mean …about time someone gave advice or I’ll never qualify 😬

Maybe this was before the first :coffee:???

Don’t blame me (for anything). @gertabelle is the novice mistress

I’ll tell you what went wrong. 👵🚬

We aged, and got some common sense in us.

And here’s some advice for your “research,” Eddy Boy:

Snap out of it!

You’re welcome.

🐌 well, close enough.I am feeling sluggish today, just thought I’d report that.
How are you Edmundas after our day of hot winds?
In the good old fashioned sense of the word ,I overheard an elderly woman at the church describe it as turning out a 'dirty day ’ .Dust in your eyeballs, messing up your hair day ,flapping and banging as the winds changed direction with a lot of hoo haa. Not too many fires though.

Hmm :cat:The Americans are all quiet about the weather…dare I say it’s calming down?
