Human sexuality is weird and more complicated than we give it credit for. Attraction to the same sex is not a malady. Orientation sometimes changes over time, especially in girls, but not necessarily. Minimizing or explaining away the child’s feelings is counterproductive. Believe your daughter and concentrate on teaching her the virtue of chastity, which is essentially the same regardless of orientation.
