You keep saying, and or not saying just enough to keep me questioning. I note you made no comment about Pope John Paul II being a valid pope, only Benedict XVI. What about John XXIII and Paul VI, also.
I too want to see unity back within the Church, but such vitriol as I have seen you put on these posts, will not be what leads to that reunification. The only way I can describe it is “Cool Down” That attitude is not the answer. Prayer is.

I do believe that that Pope John XXIII to JPII are valid Popes, I only have said that I think they were weak and did not govern properly.
I do not agree with the “empty chair of Peter” people, but unfortunately this group is growing. It is the result of the negligence of the Papacies in the last decades along with a corrupt hierarchy.
The three theological virtues are faith, hope, and charity. Obedience is not one of them. Obedience is neither part of the four cardinal virtues, even though some believe it might fall under justice.
that is important because Catholics throughout history understood that obedience is tied to the truth. We obey what is true. We do not obey error. When the Church had bad Popes and clergy, Catholics did not obey those men who were in contradiction with the magisterium and tradition.
It is the duty of every Catholic to resist the Pope when he teaches error. St. Thomas Aquinas taught that if a Pope taught something that contradicted the faith, we should not follow him.
Popes are human and can fall into error and even heresy. Pope Honorius was declared a hertic.
I follow the Magisteruim and Rome, when Rome follows the magisterium. Unfortunately, Rome is full of modernist clergy, heretics like Cardinal Kasper, and weakness because they cannot govern effectively. They have stabbed groups like the SSPX and FSSP in the back. They also have no control over the natinal bishop conferences.
