If Mr. Zimmerman had accosted ME and tried to bully and strong-arm me, he’d have a lot more than a broken nose.

Nice try. Treyvon Martin was the agressor in this situation.

According to George Zimmerman, who acted against the advice of the 911 operator in pursuing Trayvon Martin who was walking home and minding his own business!

There’s actually a pile of evidence around this case, if you’ll bother looking for it, that proves Trevyon Martin was the aggressor. Among other things, there is an audio recording, and the commonsense proof that Zimmerman had a gun and Martin did not; if Zimmerman was the aggressor, why did he allow himself to get into such close quarters, to the point of actually getting badly hurt, when he had a gun?

The claims against Zimmerman are ludicrous and groundless.

Just look it up on the internet. Don’t read propaganda, read facts.

“It just seems like it’s been pulling teeth for discovery in this case,” he said. “This case is the opposite of any I’ve normally taken. Usually, discovery is dumped on your desk, because it’s normally good for [the prosecution]. They usually try to shove it down your throat.”

“This borders on prosecutorial misconduct,” David Wohl, a criminal attorney and legal analyst said Tuesday during an interview on Fox News Channel.
On Monday, Zimmerman’s defense team publicly released a motion, filed the same day, asking for the additional deposition of one of the lead investigators due to information that surfaced during his original interview on Nov. 19th.
First, he gets convicted in the press, then the prosecution seems to be trying to ‘stitch him up’ by withholding evidence. This Angela Corey needs to be investigated herself.
Remove State Attorney Angela Corey
Angela Corey should be held accountable for her actions as State Attorney of Florida, particularly with regard to the way in which she is going to the most unconscionable lengths to secure the conviction of twelve year old Cristian Fernandez.
Seems like she not only withheld the evidence from the defense, but also from the judge.

On Prosecutor Angela Corey’s Rant About My Criticism of Her
Her beef was that I criticized her for filing a misleading affidavit that willfully omitted all information about the injuries Zimmerman had sustained during the “struggle” it described. She denied that she had any obligation to include in the affidavit truthful material that was favorable to the defense. She insisted that she is entitled to submit what, in effect, were half truths in an affidavit of probable cause, so long as she subsequently provides the defense with exculpatory evidence. She should go back to law school, where she will learn that it is never appropriate to submit an affidavit that contains a half truth, because a half truth is regarded by the law as a lie, and anyone who submits an affidavit swears to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

The judge deciding whether there is probable cause to charge the defendant with second degree murder should not have been kept in the dark about physical evidence that is so critical to determining whether a homicide occurred, and if so, a homicide of what degree. By omitting this crucial evidence, Corey deliberately misled the court.

So what’s new in all this??? What’s new is a coloured picture of what has been said before.
Police report states that Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose and the back of his head.(!)

Bleeding tenderness to his nose, and a small laceration to the back of his head. All injuries have minor bleeding,” paramedic.(!)
Does that reflect Zimmerman’s claim that Martin kept punching his face and bashed his head several times against the concrete…?

After reading a bunch of material about this case, I still don’t understand it.

On the phone call, Zimmerman claimed that Martin was escaping (note: escaping from nothing, as he had committed no crime), and then later Zimmerman claims to have been assaulted so at least in that sense it sure looks like Zimmerman was the aggressor. He really had no reason to pursue Martin.

Exactly. Zimmerman got in Martin’s face and asked what he was doing in a threatening manner…Trayvon threw him a likely deserved beating and Zimmerman has to shoot a him because as a full grown adult he got beat up by a high schooler.

It is a fight. You are going to punch someone in the face and probably bang their head against concrete when they are still fighting back.

I don’t believe that version of events is true. Even if it is Martin should have walked away.
For the mainstream media the crime here is the George Zimmerman isn’t black.

Martin should have walked away? Zimmerman shouldn’t have confronted him!

You are continuing to function without the full facts. I can’t remember myself at this time, (seeing as I stopped looking into this case several months ago) but there was conclusive evidence for the whole event. No need to speculate, just read up on it with a reliable source.

Exactly. The term “White Hispanic” was invented by this event.

Why don’t you post a reliable source then because every source I have read said that Zimmerman was on the phone with 911, said he was pursuing martin for looking suspicious, 911 told him not to pursue him, he did anyway, and thats when the fight happened.

I have a feeling your “reliable” source will be a right wing political blog.

Trayvon Martin committed no crime by appearing suspicious to at least one person. George Zimmerman committed no crime by tailing Martin because he believed he was acting suspiciously. So it all comes down to which one initiated the tragic altercation. Based on everything I’ve read about the case, it would appear that Martin could easily have made it safely home, but chose instead to return and confront George Zimmerman.

Actually, what you said right there is accurate. Zimmerman saw this kid who looked like a gang member in his dress (we’ve got plenty of them where I live, you can tell who they are just by the clothes, hoodies, and the way they look around) and Zimmerman chose to see what the kid was doing.

911 advised him NOT to follow Martin precisely because that is the only answer they can legally give. It is legally the police’s job to do these kind of things.

Zimmerman knew this, so although they advised him not to follow, he did, because he could see that the kid was acting strange.

The rest of the story fell out as it is.

Zimmerman confronted Martin. If Zimmerman didn’t confront him in a threatening way he wouldn’t have gotten beaten up and Martin wouldn’t be dead. And to be honest I don’t think that getting beaten up is reason enough to shoot a child.
