Obama has the soaring oratory, but is almost always somewhat vague. Not unusual for a politician, but Biden really touched the crowd, and probably some outside the arena.I’m zero.g the same thing. Obama’s speech was more of the same, whereas Joe’s was more inspiring.
Group yourself with the greats…somebody will believe you.I found it interesting he compared himself to FDR -second greatest President of the 20th century
Reagan of courseGroup yourself with the greats…somebody will believe you.
Whose number one…oh…never mind…Taft right?

Clinton gave a long- winded speech.washingtonexaminer.com/dem-convention-becomes-anti-akin-affair/article/2505601#.UDTrtEJibk0
thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/politics-elections/244755-abortion-rights-leaders-will-speak-at-democratic-convention
And people are worried about the Republican platform not making an exception for the life of the mother? .
Pro abortion political action funds donating to Democratic party candidates, and are given a speaking slot at the convention?
Sounds legit!
By far the worst president…he didn’t have a clue what he was doing and made it up as he went along.i’d have to say George Washington… if only strictly literally
Nice one…that is what I asked.i’d have to say George Washington… if only strictly literally
I know…the least he could have done was read up on the job before he ran.By far the worst president…he didn’t have a clue what he was doing and made it up as he went along.
DaddyGirl, President Obama must believe in God then. He apparently knows too that God is not a word in a party platform.Ah!
The President just said “God bless you, God bless you!”
So he’s made sure to add God to the speech!
You mean after Reagan, I suppose. Some Democrats might say after Truman, or even LBJ or Clinton. For me, FDR reigns supreme: no other President of the last century can touch him. Our country would likely have gone under without him.I found it interesting he compared himself to FDR -second greatest President of the 20th century
Both he and Romney said have invoked God as such in their speeches, so yes, they have some basic things in common.DaddyGirl, President Obama must believe in God then. He apparently knows too that God is not a word in a party platform.
FDR was elected to a fourth term, and he literally saved the nation.I’m not surprised he compares himself to FDR for 2 reasons
a. he’d love 3 terms
b. FDR was as socialist… gov’t program after gov’t program… and we’re still stuck with them
I repectfully disagree… I hold the opinion the country was worse for all FDR"s “help” that he is revered forYou mean after Reagan, I suppose. He’s definitely at the top of my list…second…hard to say. They all pale in comparison to FDR and the challenges he faced. For me, FDR reigns supreme: no other President of the last century can touch him. Our country would likely have gone under without him.
If you’re going to quote someone when they invoke their Catholicism and say “As a Catholic” at least get their words right.Yeesh… Caroline Kennedy just invoked her Catholicism to support mandated paying for birth control & legal abortion.
