If your brother was murdered, and you knew that every authority was blatantly lying and covering up the truth about it, would you think of those investigators who are trying to bring justice and solace to your family as “posturers”? No, you would regard them as courageous heroes. And you would be right. Now, call your Republican committee members and thank them for speaking Truth to Power! :clapping: Rob
That kind of attitude doesn’t really do much to endear people with opposing views to your side. It actually sounds just a tad arrogant.

If you’ve ever had a family member murdered, you wouldn’t be saying this.

From one who knows what it’s like.

I’m not saying I don’t agree with what you’re saying. I’m talking about the last part. About telling him to go talk to his closest republican representative. I’m sorry to hear about your loss.

I disagree with you. there is nothing arrogant in that post. I am sure if any of us had had family members who were killed in the Benghazi attack we would be demanding answers.
these people serving in other countries put themselves at risk and I suppose would expect our government to do their best to protect them if under attack.

the media is doing a good job at keeping Hillary Clinton’s name away from the story.

and what is arrogant about going to talk to his closest republican representative? the republicans are the ones who are trying to get to the bottom of this. don’t even get me started on the IRS scandal.

I have to say that I find all the reaching quite…what is the word…particularly when people bring in Nixon. Could all or any of the several attempts actually find a link to the current president…could be…but…so far…not one fact connects him to any misdeeds…in fact, he is looking rather Reaganesh at this point.

Anyone remember Iran-Contra…a series of very serious violations…a disconnected president…plausible deniability…and so on?

Laughable and even more amusing is cross posting the same thing on two threads. If you are an “old” celt you rememeber Nixon. I’ve said for a long time that Obama has the worst of both Carter (inept) and Nixon (corrupt and paranoid). The parallels are quite striking.

Now let’s just say that all of these scandals had come out before the election instead of being hidden? Interesting how all of this was known long before November 6 but it’s just now coming to light.

Don’t worry oldcelt, we’re stuck with him for another three years. He will be screaming for the exit ramp long before his term is up.

Arrogant? I laid out incontrovertible facts and personalized them. If someone doesn’t understand that the four murders in Benghazi cry out for justice, I frankly can’t relate to him or her. People are wearing political blinders. This is not a partisan issue. I want the administration to release all documents and answer all questions, and let the chips fall where they may. To date, all the vicious killers are still at large. Rob 😊

And this is truly the issue. We can all get wrapped around the axle because of being lied to by our government. It was outrageous and frankly might well have changed the election had all of these scandals been exposed prior to November 6.

But the real tragedy is the self absorbed pompous a***s who think their political careers are more important than the lives lost or damaged (we still haven’t heard from the survivors). It reminds me so much of Ted Kennedy and his letting Mary Jo Kopechne drown because his first thought was his political future. I NEVER looked at that man with anything but disgust after that episode. You know Hillary and Obama and all were frantically trying to figure out a way to cover this up. Meanwhile we’ve apparently distanced ourselves from the Libyan President and left the scene open for weeks so as to make it difficult to investigate.

All so that we could “enjoy” another four months of Hillary:mad: and four more years of Obama:mad::mad:

And that is the problem, RACJ. This administration is not interested in the truth, but in political cover. For them it is all politics. Everything is politics - all events are looked at from the perspective of maintaining power. Call it “Chicago style” politics. But it is basic leftist MOA. Of course they won’t release any documents - unless, after calculation, those documents are deemed to be politically helpful.

Incidentally - for anyone looking to defend Obama on whether he knew of the IRS activities before it was reported in the press (LOL), Kimberley Strassel points out the tactics of the 2008 Obama campaign in response to groups questioning Obama about his background and his associations with guys like Bill Ayers, in a very revealing article:

"*On Aug. 21, 2008, the conservative American Issues Project ran an ad highlighting ties between candidate Obama and Bill Ayers, formerly of the Weather Underground. The Obama campaign and supporters were furious, and they pressured TV stations to pull the ad—a common-enough tactic in such ad spats.

What came next was not common. Bob Bauer, general counsel for the campaign (and later general counsel for the White House), on the same day wrote to the criminal division of the Justice Department, demanding an investigation into AIP, “its officers and directors,” and its “anonymous donors.” Mr. Bauer claimed that the nonprofit, as a 501(c)(4), was committing a “knowing and willful violation” of election law, and wanted “action to enforce against criminal violations.”*

"*The Bauer onslaught was a big part of a new liberal strategy to thwart the rise of conservative groups. In early August 2008, the New York Times trumpeted the creation of a left-wing group (a 501(c)4) called Accountable America. Founded by Obama supporter and liberal activist Tom Mattzie, the group—as the story explained—would start by sending “warning” letters to 10,000 GOP donors, “hoping to create a chilling effect that will dry up contributions.” The letters would alert “right-wing groups to a variety of potential dangers, including legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives.” As Mr. Mattzie told Mother Jones: “We’re going to put them at risk.” *

But wait - there’s more:

As general counsel to the Obama re-election campaign, Mr. Bauer used the same tactics on pro-Romney groups. The Obama campaign targeted private citizens who had donated to Romney groups. Democratic senators demanded that the IRS investigate these organizations

It looks like the IRS learned a great deal from the Obama administration. Democrats on this forum, how do you defend this?

Ishii thank you for laying it out so well. As to your final question, it’s the one I wish to ask of those who voted for him. They were so ignorant. Willfully ignorant and blind. All of this information was available before both elections. I remember speaking to people who were swooning over Obama and saying “Don’t you know he believes X or wants to do Y…” They would be shocked and say obviously I was mistaken.

The man’s lack of ethics, the way he got elected originally, not by popular vote but by dirty tricks that forced his opponents out of the race, his associations with criminals from Ayers to Tony Rezko, the times he was caught with a hot mic and you know how he feels about us great unwashed, clinging to our guns and God. Oh and dont’ get me started on his 100% defense of infanticide, another evil the media his as best they could.

What is it about this guy that appeals to anyone…other than perhaps assuaging “white guilt?” The same thought process that acquited OJ is still at work.

Today I heard a discussion about his last snorefest speech where once again he talked about closing GITMO. The commentator said “He’s got the courage of Neville Chamberlain and the ability of Jimmy Carter.” Being a Brit maybe he wasn’t up on Nixon but we can toss that in as well.

God help us…three and a half more years of this nightmare.

Prayer is the only thing that will stop the evil , for that is what it truly is, evil, of the Obama administration. Does more than that need to be said?

I agree - with the only difference being that prayer + action within the system that we have - i.e. working or helping out with campaigns on decent, honorable people. It has to be a combination of both.

Thanks for keeping us posted.
Yes Abyssinia always keeps us up to date on new developments. I was relieved to read that Ambassador Stevens’ body did not show signs of torture or abuse. It was interesting what kind of negotiations and inside assistance were necessary to retrieve Stevens’ body. There had originally been a report of a potential kidnapping or hostage situation. Makes you wonder why forces were not IMMEDIATELY marshaled for a rescue.

Also relieved to see that this is FINALLY catching up with Mrs Clinton. I truly do not know how she skated through a totally undistinguished SoS tenure that ended with a horrible event for which she had at least some responsibility. Although the article still claims she is the leading candidate for 2016, it’s a long time and we all know how well the early leaders have done in the past…President Guiliani anyone?
