Jinn are physical but good and fallen angels are not.

You know that Lucifer (Satan) is an angel that fell, and there were many others also. That is what they are teaching there. The majority are not fallen.
Satan(Shaytan) is a Jinn. It is clear in Qur’an. Is there anything about Satan to be angel in Bible? And also Satan was among angels and it was chief of angels. Satan was very proud of that to be chief of angels. But when God created Adam and said humanbeing is/maybe above angels and Satan(Jinn) then Satan disobeyed God. But angels always obey God.

Angels are physical. With physical I do not mean the physical laws of our univesite but not an eternal essence but a creature essence. Only essence of God is eternal and all other beings are creatures include angels and other spirits. Essence of angels are kinds of spirit and all spirits are created by God.

Angels embody goodness and Satans embody evil.

Anyhow both angels and Jinns are out of material world which we cannot comprehend exactly.

Job 4
17 Can man have right on his side, the voice asked, when he is matched with God? Can a mortal creature shew blameless in its Creator’s presence? 18 Nay, in his own retinue God finds loyalty wanting; angels may err.
2 Peter 2
4 God did not spare the angels who fell into sin; he thrust them down to hell, chained them there in the abyss, to await their sentence in torment.
Jude
5 Learn one lesson, and you know all. Let me remind you, how the Saviour who had rescued his people from Egypt went on to destroy those who had proved unfaithful.[1] 6 The angels, too, who left the place assigned to them, instead of keeping their due order, he has imprisoned in eternal darkness, to await their judgement when the great day comes. 7 So with Sodom and Gomorrha and the cities round them, which fell into the same debauchery as their neighbours and pursued unnatural lust; they bear, for our warning, their sentence of eternal fire.

Isaiah 14:12-15
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, who didst rise in the morning? how art thou fallen to the earth, that didst wound the nations? And thou saidst in thy heart: I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, I will sit in the mountain of the covenant, in the sides of the north. I will ascend above the height of the clouds, I will be like the most High. But yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, into the depth of the pit.

Apocalypse 12:7-9And there was a great battle in heaven, Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon fought and his angels: and they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. And that great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Revelation 9

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Revelation 16

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. James 2

32 ¶As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

33 And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel. Matthew 9

29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed. Mark 7

Underlined “devil” is Jinn. I do not know why it is said for angels that they can make wrong but I think the word which is used for for spirit or devil is confused with angels. There are many narrative statements in Torah which make it difficult to regard it directly as revelation.

I have to admit this is very intriguing (although it is not Christian teaching). The idea that devils and jinn are made out of fire is very interesting. Aren’t some jinn good though?

Angels in Christianity are not physical but spiritual whereas angels in Islam tradition are from fire. These are completely different.

The classic Gospel on this topic is Mark 5 which is about a man that had an impure spirit in him. Of course spirits are not physical but it is said the Jinn are, so they cannot be the same.

8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”

9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.

Any of them can also take on a physical form too, if God allows them, so that makes me wonder where the ‘material’ comes from in whatever form they are taking on, example if a demon choose to appear to someone as a huge black bird, and that bird took up physical space, cast a shadow, had weight, mass…where did this ‘body’ come from?

It would be the same as when the 2 angels appeared in human form, they had physical bodies, they ate, drank, they took up space, etc, so is clear this CAN happen.

Im assuming these are details we are not meant to understand.

That is an apparition not physical, it appears in the mind of the person perceiving.

Devils are from fire but Angels are not. Angels are from light. But that do not mean devils are just as fire physically. Humanbeing was created from mud but human is not same as mud anymore. So devils were created from a kind of fire but they are not same as fire and they are not physical. All angels, Jinns, souls are called “Ruhaniyat” which means “spirituals”.

There is no much difference between Christianity and Islam but in naming Christianity may take different. Is there any verse in Gospels which means angels can be evil? In Torah there are but Torah had been interpreted many times and there are many comments of writers in both OT and NT! Qur’an is directly word of God.

No. Angels or Jinns(devils) are not physical and they are not bound to physical laws. But they are not just imaginary. They have an essence which is not kind of any matter of universe and they can change forms. Angels can effect as physical and that happened many times.

About one third of the good angels rebelled and became evil of their own choice. Yes, Sacred Scripture has a lot to say about them. This site can help:

The teaching of Christianity is different, shown in the Catechism, so this is another difference with Islam.

328 The existence of the spiritual, non-corporeal beings that Sacred Scripture usually calls “angels” is a truth of faith. The witness of Scripture is as clear as the unanimity of Tradition.

In the Old Testament, even the wind in the tree tops was regarded as an angel (2 Samuel 5:23-24; 1 Chronicles 14:14, 15). Also, the Semites thought all order of the universe, and disharmony, were due to God, but carried out by His ministers, such as in in the “Book of Jubilees” where the heavenly host of good and evil angels interferes in the material universe.

But nine orders of angels, are in scripture., Angels, Archangels, Virtues, Powers, Principalities, Dominations, Throne, Cherubim, and Seraphim. In the New Testament times there are taught that there are two spiritual kingdoms; the devil is a fallen angel who in his fall has drew multitudes of the heavenly host with him.

Can Jinn be good?

This could not be true, as when the 2 angels showed up at Lots house, many people saw them, and recognized them as regular people, some even wanted to rape them.

There are many appearances of angels, they are nevertheless non-corporeal.

I saw an olderish man at the supermarket one day and he asked me where to find something and when I looked at him, my heart just lifted. He was no ordinary man, I don’t know if he was an angel but if somebody told me he was I would have believed it.

Do you think that when one of Gods elect see one another that they are automatically aware of that? There was definitely something special about this person. I have also seen people who were the opposite of that and I saw a man last week who’s eyes were cold and dark like he was dead on the inside, like he wasn’t there.

I have experienced both, just as you have, but could not say why.
