Convey to the killer that we as a society value life. Isn’t that why we punish killers in the first place? Nobody has been able to give a coherent reason why we should exempt one class of killers categorically from punishment. There is not difference between hiring a hitman and having an abortion. Both result in someone dying. Yet one is punished and one you want to exempt categorically from punishment. Why the difference?
Well at least we agree on something. To murder a murderer would be unjust, just as it would be to exempt a class of murderers from punishment just because the politics of doing the right thing wouldn’t be goodWell they definitely cannot receive the death penalty…
Just because you want to die does not mean that it is morally acceptable to kill you. Also, we should not prejudge anyone’s moral understanding and culpability. Some people kill and are not convicted, that is for a jury to decide. Also, God has us all in his hands and he is the Supreme Administrator of Justice… The other poster who was commenting on how our society has been indoctrinated to believe a fertilized egg is just a glob had a point. Our young people (not all) have been taught that it is nothing… It will take some time and it IS happening now that young people are beginning to realize that life begins at conception… If I was one of the young people who had had an abortion and discovered that in reality I had killed my baby-- I would WANT to die myself… Go ahead and kill me…
