Prisoner’s Prayer to Saint Maximilian Kolbe
O Prisoner-Saint of Auschwitz,
help my son and all prisoners in their plight
Introduce them to Mary, the Immaculata,
Mother of God. She prayed for Jesus in
a Jerusalem jail. She prayed for you
in a Nazi prison camp. Ask her to comfort
all while confinement. May she teach my son and all prisoners
always to be good.
If they are lonely, may she say “God is here.”
If they feel hate, may she say “God is love.”
If they are tempted, may she say “God is pure.”
If they sin, may she say “God is mercy.”
If they are in darkness, may she say “God is light.”
If they are unjustly condemned, may she say “God is truth.”

St. Maximilian:

You know what it is like to be incarcerated, and you gave your life so another may live.

Please intercede for Teresa and her son Tom. Help him be liberated from sin within himself, so that he may be free in life to become the person God wishes his to be.

This is from the Nine Day Novena to St. Jude that started today:

St. Jude, giver of hope, on this first day of our journey in prayer together, I offer you all that I carry deep within my heart. My fears at times get the best of me. Calm my heart, so that I might better trust in the God who loves and comforts me.

Prayer to St. Jude
Most holy apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hope. Please intercede on my behalf.

Make use of that particular privilege given to you to bring hope, comfort, and help where they are needed most. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven as I work with my challenges, particularly for Teresa’s son, Tom, and her entire family.

I praise God with you and all the saints forever. I promise, blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen

Dear triumphguy ,Denise, Trishie, Natalie, pollylodges thankyou so much for your prayers,your love and support and friendship.I sincerely could not go through this without your prayers and support.I am so grateful to everyone who has prayed. I have had some testing times in my life and this is certainly one of those times now.I am at peace in trusting Our Lord to protect Tom and keep him safe while incarcerated.I pray this time while on remand may be a wake up call to him and he may reassess his life and allow God to guide him to change and overcome his alcohol dependency.

Lord, please hear the pleas of your faithful daughter, Teresa. Please answer her request as is Your will for her son and not her son’s will. Guide his choices so that he will be responsible for his children as well as himself. May this be a time of enlightenment and repentance for Tom. Please bring Teresa and her husband peace, and help them to feel your Love at this stressful time. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Complications today surrond Tom not having any legal representation.I rang his solicitor this morning who informed me he no longer is representing Tom and a new one is now doing this.I rang and left a message for the new solicitor to contatc me and when he did he told me he is not able to represent Tom and the former solicitor is the one who is supposed to be representing him. Tom was supposed to have had a bail hearing today (which we knew nothing about ) via video link and because he had no legal represntation he could not have a bail hearing.I have left e telephone message for the former solictor to contatc me tomorrow.

Please pray Tom will have legal representation and I will have the strength and stamiona to keep sorting out and dealing with all these hurdles.Thankyou for all your prayers and God bless you

Lord please guide all decision makers around Tom to help him.I pray he will get either a new solicitor to represent him or his original one will represent him again and be more involved and bring a positive resolution for Tom.This time is vert stressful Lord and I ask You to guide me to do what is necessary to help Tom and grant me the strength to cope with all the worries.Thankyou Lord for hearing our prayers and for Your many blessings Amen

St. Maximilian, you interceded in life to the point of giving up your life so another might live, intercede for Tom, so that he might find the lawyer he needs to help him receive the appropriate consequences for his actions (because justice corrects) and the help he needs (because mercy renews) so that Tom may grow to become the person God needs him to be for the sake of the kingdom.

St. Maximilian pray for us.

Our Lady, Queen of Heaven intercede for us so that Teresa and her family find rest and peace confident in God’s great goodness and mercy.
 
Teresa, I am sorry to hear of all the miscommunication and confusion going on with your son’s representation. Perhaps a new solicitor would be best if the original one does not seem to show the enthusiasm you would hope for. Put it in God’s hands to decide what happens, and pray that is this, he will lead you to his will for Tom.

Lord, I ask that you will give Teresa whatever strength and stamina she will need to deal with her son’s problem. Lead her to someone that is fair and just and that will in the end, help Tom to live the life that God wills for him, however he has to get there. I also ask that you keep Teresa and her husband united in all decisions concerning Tom so that he is not a cause of disagreement or frustration for them. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Thankyou all so much for your beuatiful prayers…triumphguy your prayer is so beautiful thankyou so much.

Today has been quite distressing so far.I rang the original solicitor this morning who did not get back to me despite me leaving two messages last night for him.He was exceptionally rude to me.He actually told me this is all my fault becuase I threw Tom out of the house and the ‘breach of bail’ (which is why he was remanded) would nto be happening.He also told me I whad been abusive to his staff.He told me he was not prepared to ring Tom at the prison and it was up to Tom to contatc him (Tom is not allowed to use the phone,he has no money to make calls,nor does he know his phone number either!).He went on to tell me that he is not answerable to me and refused to represent Tom.I was extremely upset and burst into tears.I rang the Magistrates Court and told them ,they were really lovely to me and told me a few names of local solicitors who could act on Toms behalf. I rang the first name on the list and the secretary of that law firm assured me he would represent Tom legally. Yesterday should have been a bail hearing (whereby he may have been released on bail) but because Tom had no legal representation he remains in jail. One problem is Tom is in Prison 400 miles away from where the Magistrates Court that is dealing with the oriiginal case. Tom is in a prison close to our home because last Thursday he appeared at a local Magistrates Court near to where we live and he was remanded in the nearest Prison.

It has been a very stressful morning.When I rang my husband to tel him he was cold and uncaring which hurt me greatly.I understand he is upset with Tom, so am I ,very much so, however this legal mess of no solicitor is not Toms fault. I had thought we had reconciled properly and my husband would be loving and supportive but actually it is still very stressful and he is incapable of giving me any support in a loving way.He shouted at me on the phone and told me he never wants to see Tom again.We are supposed to be visitng Tom on Thursday for the first time since he was remanded in prison. I am so torn…I feel very desperate today.

Today is a very very difficult day.It appears I can not rely on my husband and I will be visiting Tom alone on Thursday…then of course the issue of if Tom is released where will he be released to? He has to have an address to be bailed to. My husband last week had said Tom could come home…and now…well…I am so distressed.

I pray to God and leave this all to Him. I place all my trust in God.

I am so very grateful to each fo you for your prayers for Tom myself and my husband in this awful ordeal.

Lord please place Your healing hand upon this entire situation.Please guide me and please guide Tom that he will turn his life around to move forward in a positive manner and overcome his addiction to alcohol.
