I am so desperately worried for my youngest son.He is in a lot of trouble and will be facing court proceedings in July,he may well be facing a custodial sentence. He has two young children one of 9months and the other of 2yrs.He and the mother of the children broke up earlier this year.He has gotten drunk and gotten into fights. He has been arrested and been to court previously.Currently he is on probation for his last offence. We have tried so hard to help him and constantly pick up the peices to get his life back on track. He has attidue and anger issues and alcohol makes him awful. He began drinking alcohol because he suffers terribly with anxiety/panic attacks and it “helped him relax”!This last episode we let him come home again to live, as lterally he has nowhere to go. I have prayed for so long that he would not go to prison but now I fear for his safety and maybe prison might be safest option for him. I am worried sick he will end up dead or in prison. He came back only on Friday on strict rules of no alcohol whatsoever and no going out anywhere. That lasted two days. There was another upsetting session this evening where my son disobeyed me and went out to get involved in a neighbour who was arguing with his partner…I specifically told him not to get involved particularly as he is already in serious trouble with the police. He was rude and disrespectful to me and confrontational with my husband. In the end he left saying this is the last time you will see me…took a bag of clothes and left. I am very upset as I write this and would really appreciate any prayers for my son to keep him safe and for God to guide him to the right path and that he will open his heart and mind to Gods will.

Thankyou and God bless each of you

Lord please hear my prayers for my son.Lord I no not what to ask for any longer except please keep him safe and guide him.You know my greatest fears Lord and I ask You would place Your healing hand upon this entire situation to bring my son safely through this part of his life to reach maturity safely and be a mature and responsible adult and father to his children.I pray You will keep him safe from harm Lord.He is making poor choices continually please guide him to open his heart and mind to Your will.Lord I place all my trust in You. Thankyou Lord for always heairng and answering my prayers.Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Lord hear our sister in Christ prayers. As a mother, I can fully understand what she is going through. The constant worrying and feeling helpless. Lord give her the strength she needs to overcome this situation. Lord I lift up her son in prayers. I beg you to hear all our prayers especially his mother and heal him from addiction, anger, and enlighten him w/ your Holy Spirit. Lord we cry out to you and ask for your mercy. Thank you God because you are great and always hear our prayers even when we are desperately seeking your help. Amen!!!

Lord, please hear the pleas of your faithful daughter, Teresa. Please answer her request as is Your will for her son. Please bring Teresa and her husband peace, and help them to feel your Love at this stressful time. I ask this through the intercession of Your Most Holy Mother, Mary.

Our Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done,
on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou
among women,
and blessed is the
Fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I am going to add your son and your family to my prayers but I am also going to recommend Al-Anon. It is for the family and friends of alcoholics or people who are bothered by someone else’s drinking. It sounds as if your son qualifies you for the program, and you will find support and a way to start taking care of yourself in whatever circumstances, whether he is drinking or not.

Al-Anon/Alateen

Please try several meetings and keep an open mind!

Prayer to Saint Joseph for Fathers

Saint Joseph, guardian of Jesus and chaste husband of Mary, you passed your life in loving fulfillment of duty. You supported the holy family of Nazareth with the work of your hands. Kindly protect those who trustingly come to you. You know their aspirations, their hardships, their hopes. They look to you because they know you will understand and protect them. You too knew trial, labor and weariness. But amid the worries of material life, your soul was full of deep peace and sang out in true joy through intimacy with God’s Son entrusted to you and with Mary, his tender Mother. Assure those you protect that they do not labor alone. Teach them to find Jesus near them and to watch over Him faithfully as you have done. Amen.

Pope John XXIII

Dear God,

Please look after Tbcrawford and her family. Guide her son and protect him. Help his parents attain wisdom about how to best help their son and to guide him towards a life of responsibility and maturity. Please look after their child as he struggles with addiction, anger and appears to be lost.

Holy Mary, watch over his children and protect them from all harm while their father goes through his struggles. Amen

Praying for you Teresa, your son and his family.

You do so much praying for others, and I pray that all is well for you son and his family.

Father, I pray for Teresa and her son. Please touch the heart of Teresa’s son and let him feel the love and concern his family has for him and his well-being. Keep him safe from harm and keep him away from further trouble. Let him remember that he has young children who need him and may this compel him to change his ways and walk the road of truth, goodness, and light.

I pray that Teresa may be comforted during this trying time. May she be surrounded by family, loved ones, and friends who can be a source of support and comfort for her. Grant her strength and the grace to get through this.

St. Joseph, pray for them.

St. Jude: pray for us.
St. Michael: pray for us.
St. Dismas (the good thief): pray for us.

(Your son hasn’t been found guilty yet, but) this is from Pius XII:
O Divine Prisoner of the sanctuary, Who for love of us and for our salvation not only enclosed Yourself within the narrow confines of human nature and then hid Yourself under the veils of the Sacramental Species, but also continually live in the tabernacle! Hear our prayer which rises to You from within these walls and which longs to express to You our affection, our sorrow, and the great need we have of You in our tribulations - above all, in the loss of freedom which so distresses us.
For some of us, there is probably a voice in the depths of conscience which says we are not guilty; that only a tragic judicial error has led us to this prison. In this case, we will draw comfort from remembering that You, the most August of all victims, were also condemned despite Your innocence.
Or perhaps, instead, we must lower our eyes to conceal our blush of shame, and beat our breast. But, even so, we also have the remedy of throwing ourselves into Your arms, certain that You understand all errors, forgive all sins, and generously restore Your grace to him who turns to You in repentance.
And finally, there are those among us who have succumbed to sin so often through the course of our earthly lives that even the best among men mistrust us, and we ourselves hardly know how to set out on the new road of regeneration. But despite all this, in the most hidden corner of our soul a voice of trust and comfort whispers Your words, promising us the help of Your light and Your grace if we want to return to what is good.
May we, 0 Lord, never forget that the day of trial is an opportune time for purifying the spirit, practicing the highest virtues, and acquiring the greatest merits. Let not our afflicted hearts be affected by that disgust which dries up everything, or by that distrust which leaves no room for brotherly sentiments and which prepared the road for bad counsel. May we always remember that, in depriving us of the freedom of our bodies, no one has been able to deprive us of freedom of the soul, which during the long hours of our solitude can rise to You to know You better and love You more each day.
Grant, 0 Divine Savior, help and resignation to the dear ones who mourn our absence. Grant peace and quiet to this world which has rejected us but which we love and to which we promise our co-operation as good citizens for the future.
Grant that our sorrows may be a salutary example to many souls and that they may thus be protected against the dangers of following our path. But above all, grant us the grace of believing firmly in You, of filially hoping in You, and of loving You: Who, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, live and reign forever and ever.
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, make us love Thee more and more!
Our Lady of Hope, pray for us!
Saint Dismas, the Good Thief, pray for us!

Dear Father, I pray for Teresa’s son, that he be kept safe from harm and finds peace. I pray that he comes to support his children and follows your will, your plan. I pray that you keep Teresa and her husband safe at this trying time and that they feel your love surrounding them and guiding them in the best way to support their son. Amen.
