**Devotions in Honor of Saint Philomena: Sunday, January 15th. **

The schedule of the morning will be as follows.

9:05 AM: Recitation of the Holy Rosary
**9:30 AM: **Regularly scheduled Tridentine Mass celebrated by our Parochial Administrator, Fr. Darrell Roman followed by prayers to St. Philomena and veneration of the relic.

If you are in need of healing, a job or other favors, please consider joining us for this devotion. Please let others know about this event.

This is also another wonderful opportunity for those of you who have never attended the Tridentine Mass to come and participate in this beautiful form of worship,

Devotions to St. Philomena take place three times a year at St. Josaphat. Once in January (for blessings on the parish for the New Year and in honor of her birthday), once in May (in honor of the discovery of the relics) and once in August (in honor of the historic feast day).

St. Josaphat will have a Tridentine High Mass for the Ascension on Thursday at 7PM
 
I hope I’ll be able to make the trek across the river one of these days to attend Mass there. Although I wonder how the border guards react when you tell them you’re crossing an international border just to go to church…
 
Come Celebrate the Feast of the Patroness of the Archdiocese of Detroit in an “Extraordinary” Way…



As many of you know, St. Anne, the mother of Mary is the patroness of the Archdiocese of Detroit. (*For more information on the patron saint, please visit: *http://www.aod.org/patronsaint/)

In the rubrics of the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, the feast of the principal patron of a diocese may be observed on the Sunday closest to the actual feast.

St. Josaphat Parish in Detroit will be observing the feast of St. Anne as an external solemnity on **Sunday, July 29, 2012. **

The observances as follows:
**9:05 AM **Rosary
**9:30 AM: **Mass in the Extraordinary Form (Missa Cantata) with veneration of the first class relic of St. Anne.

This is a great opportunity for those of you who have never attended Mass in the Extraordinary Form (aka. the Tridentine Mass) to come and participate in this beautiful form of worship.

Please invite your family and friends as we celebrate the feast of the patroness of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
