In the rubrics of the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite, the feast of the principal patron of a diocese may be observed on the Sunday closest to the actual feast.
St. Josaphat Parish in Detroit will be observing the feast of St. Anne as an external solemnity on **Sunday, July 29, 2012. **
The observances as follows:
**9:05 AM **Rosary
**9:30 AM: **Mass in the Extraordinary Form
(Missa Cantata) with veneration of the first class relic of St. Anne.
This is a great opportunity for those of you who have never attended Mass in the Extraordinary Form
(aka. the Tridentine Mass) to come and participate in this beautiful form of worship.
