Somebody’s a little confused. . .
First, he said we’d be like the angels. Well, angels are pure spirits, but tradition says that there are masculine and feminine angels. . .now, since they don’t have bodies how can we “know” the difference, except that the concepts of “masculine” and “feminine” are not strictly related to body, but that body “reflects” a person’s masculinity or femininity.
Second, his idea that “no sex” equals everybody becoming a man is definitely unbiblical. No sex means just that; there won’t be sexual activity (traditionally, because all souls whom God willed to create via human sexual intercourse will be created, and judged, and have his or her final home, be it in heaven or hell). But we DO know that we’ll have bodies (glorified, like Jesus–who BTW was recognized when he rose and appeared on earth as a MAN), and we know that we will be eating and drinking in heaven, in our glorified bodies, male and female.
Doesn’t it just SHOW you the pitfalls of personal scriptural interpretation? P.S. Just fixed the Freudian slip–I had “Pitful” instead, like “pitiful”. . .
