MrS:
Good for you… I trust the Catholic League will provide an organized “answer” to the AgainBashingCatholics Network
It’s ironic that we would turn the big guns on Wal Mart, who weren’t guilty of anything except a little thoughtlessness, and let this kind of blatant anti-Catholic attack in the MSM slide.

Let alone the National Bashing Catholics TV network or for that matter Catholic Bashing Socialists network. ABC, CBS and NBC are about as useful to me as scum between my toes. And Diane Sawyer is just that, SCUM. Socialist Catholic Unchristian Marxist reporter.

Nice acronym.

But I propose we go farther – and send the Catholic League a clear message that a boycott of the sponsors of this garbage is called for.

Sure thing.

MrS,

Everything is grace, eh? Is that why you’d kill Diane Sawyer and the others?

Talk about sending a despicable message to people visiting this site to learn about the Catholic faith.

No… those animations are NOT funny…

I’m just wondering–does anybody know if ABC has any connection to the production company which is producing the “Da Vinci Code” movie? It’s possible that ABC is preparing the way for this movie’s release by broadcasting this kind of garbage.

Doesn’t matter if there’s a connection or not. According to the MSM’s own rules of journalism, all you need to do is imply a connection and show head shots of various “scholars” agreeing with your implication, right?

We could call it “The ABC Code” or something…

I mean WWDSD?

I just e-mailed them about this. I hope everybody reading this
does the same, they need to be told that we don’t appreciate
this nonsense being presented as truth.

Emailing them (ABC) is fine. But the people we really need to reach is the sponsors. That’s why I urge everyone to email the Catholic League – they should take the lead in organizing a boycott against the sponsors. Had there been no sponsors, there would have been no show.

You can contact the Catholic League through catholicleague.org/feedbackii.htm

I’ll post my email to them again:
We have recently seen the Catholic League threaten a boycott of Wal Mart over the use of “Christmas.” But Wal Mart’s omission of the customary greeting was not anti-Catholic.

ABC and Diane Sawyer clearly produced an anti-Catholic program about “Pope Joan.” Why does the Catholic League not declare a boycott of the sponsors of that program?

Now, the sponsors will say, “We have no control of the programming.” The response to that is, “You knew the time slot when your commercials would be aired, and you knew what program would be showing then. It is your responsibility to ensure your ad money doesn’t support this kind of bigotry.”

Vern, I just e-mailed the Catholic League as you suggested.
Thanks!

Why would it be so negative that there may have been a female pope at some time in the past? I understand that it is not accepted by the church today but if it happened in the past so what. It doesn’t change my faith.

Please explain your perspective on this?

If I may answer your question; the issue is that there was not a female pope. The ‘pope’ Joan myth was exposed as a fabrication in the 17th century. It is annoying when four centuries later ABC runs a story on it. What’s next ABC; the Earth is round?

I am glad your faith is strong. Keep it that way! 👍

Peace,

George

Actually, next up on Primetime “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion – Fact or Fiction?”

To me, the whole Pope Joan/Da Vinci Code nonsense is nothing more than the Catholic equivilent of the Protocols.

That is what I meant. Yhanks for correcting my poor proofing skills!
