Did God make us genetically/biologically inclined to sin?

Can you explain what the *‘spiritual principle of human nature’
  • is.
What grannymh was trying to say was saying is that Evolution could not possibly produce a human, immortal soul, no matter how advanced the creature became.

What is a human immortal soul ?

I don’t understand how any aspect of a human being could not have evolved. We exist through evolution.
Souls do not exist through evolution, They are not matter bur spirit and therefore outside the realm of evolution. They have no genes nor are they influenced by genes. A man is composed of body and soul. The body is where his senses reside, and the soul, his reasoning ability and his free will.

That is accepted medical science
Aprilfloyd,

A person might engage in masturbation during puberty, or he may not. Such an act does not define puberty in medical science. Masturbation is clearly not a prerequisite for the stage of human development we call puberty. This conversation is getting quite silly. Many would like to call masturbation a morally neutral thing, perhaps to protect their sin in this area, or perhaps to promote a more liberal morality that is forbidden by the Church. The Church clearly forbids all sexual activity outside of marriage, and that has been and will always be the teaching of the Church based on Holy Scriptures and Tradition.

The “spiritual principle of human nature” is our spiritual soul. Spiritual means non-material and thus it is not part of our decomposing anatomy. Maybe one has to believe in God before one can understand something that is non-material or super-natural.

I have never seen soul mentioned in any medical journal. I don’t appear to have one

I can’t see how all these gods can exist. What are they all doing and why do they sit ideal while people die of starvation

Now you’re being facetious.

If you are an unbeliever this discussion is going nowhere. As Augustine said, “If you do not believe, then you will not understand.”

It is not disputed science
And that somehow proves something…?

So, if I say that every day invisible pink polka dot dragons fly through the air from Texas to Idaho, and no one attempts to disprove it, then I must be right?

What is a human immortal soul ?
You know the answer to that question.

Hmm, that would make sense, wouldn’t it? Kinda like not finding anatomy details in a geography book.

You’re being too rational. 😛

God sent me? Yet he could stop suffering but chooses not to.
Because he has granted us free will.

You know, april, you shouldn’t really try messing around with this God business until you’ve figured out there is a God. It’s a little out of your league right now.

God sent me? Yet he could stop suffering but chooses not to.
He gave to all of us collectively. Now we have to share,

You have to realize that Mankind put itself into this position of a world that has suffering and death by deciding he knew better than God. Once man disobeyed God it was simply the nature of things that suffering and death came into the world, just like if you jump into ocean, you’re going to get wet. The human race has been swimming back to shore ever since!

If God in all fairness could snap His Fingers and all would be well, He would; but that’s like saying why doesn’t God make water dry, then we wouldn’t get wet when we jump into the ocean. You’re asking for a denial of the way things are, a denial of the nature of things. The one thing God cannot do is to contradict Himself. There are certain things that must happen for God to be an All Just God. It is a mystery why things happen the way they do, but it is certain to the believer that God loves them in the midst of all the sufferings of this life.

If you were a believer you would be able to see this, but because you are an unbeliever, all you can see is if there is a God He must be an evil God. The fact is, there is evil in the world, but it’s mankind that caused it, not God.

The way out is to stop your unbelief, believe in God, and you will begin to understand how it all works, and that God loves you more than you ever dreamed you could be loved. Then, go out and begin to share that love with others, including feeding the starving.

JC, AF is not worth the effort. He regularly raises the same old narrow range of boring questions across the Forum and pretends to be a Catholic. That AF posts around 20-40 posts a day on this Forum says it all really. Lets not provide such unproductive time-wasting behaviour the oxygen it seeks.

Yes. That’s why I don’t spend more than 5 minutes per post in replying to her anymore; I’ve learned that she is not here to get answers but rather to waste the time of the people who attempt to answer her.

Most of the time, now, I just respond for the benefit of any posters who may be spectating.
