yes the stuff about camel’s urine killing germs is like all the stuff about secret cancer cures suppressed by the NIH etc etc
I promise you, I could find any number of substances in the average home that kill cancer cells and germs, no problem
the acid test is whether or not they kill the human being in the process!!!

And look how many things oil ends up in. Humans are quite resourceful, but I would hardly suggest to people to smear themselves in oil, instead of a refined cosmetic.

So they wouldn’t have prayed to the Father before eating ?
I only need to wash my hands before eating and this would generally be adequate for the purpose.

However, when it comes to ablution before prayer, not only do I need to wash my hands, but I also need to wash my mouth, nose, forearms, face, ears and feet… as well as making sure that the rest of my body and my clothes are free from impurities before I can perform the Salat.

In short, washing before eating and washing before prayer are two different things altogether.

Ham, have a look at my thread about the Koran!
Ham, we are praying for your immortal soul. You need to turn from darkness to light. You can choose to open your eyes and accept the love of Jesus.
Lord we pray for Ham that he will choose life and light, not darkness and destruction.

You didn’t answer my point, (about prayer before eating, and with unwashed hands) and we aren’t Jews, Sunday is our day of worship, based on the Resurrection of Christ.

Could be they didn’t pray before eating ?

We can pray at all times, Jesus even prayed from the Cross, and why anyone would get caught up troubling themselves with our form of worship is beyond me.

We got from the beard of Jesus, to camel urine, to prayer all in a short time.

For prayers, ablution is only required before Salat prayers and although desirable, it is not however absolutely necessary to wash before offering supplication prayers or Doa.

You could have fooled me, you seem hung up on it.

I usually shower before Mass, but that only makes me clean on the outside.

Matt:2326 **Thou blind Pharisee, first make clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, that the outside may become clean. **

I have been perusing the contents of that link, and I wouldn’t be surprised if none of the doctors quoted exist. The article shows a fundamental ignorance of the disease processes of “dropsy” (which is not a proper medical term at all even) and liver cirrhosis, amongst others. A cure for cirrhosis would be front page news for sure - currently the main treatment for advanced cirrhosis is liver transplant. Liver cirrhosis due to schistosomiasis and hepatitis B is common in Arab countries after all.

Prior to making formal prayer, Jesus (pbuh) used to wash his limbs according to the teachings of the Torah. Moses and Aaron (pbut) are recorded as doing the same in Exodus 40:30-31,

** “30 And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing,
31 with which Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet… as the Lord commanded Moses.” **

Are Christians today making ablution before performing their prayers?

If not, then they are not properly following Jesus in the way he worshiped his Lord, are they?

Ham, you obviously haven’t read the previous responses. Could try reading other peoples’ posts and responding to them before asking more questions?

It is you who need to find out about how to follow Christ truly. Come to the light of the world ham, turn away from the darkness that clouds your soul. You have been blinded by the devil himself from accepting God in your life.
Yes truly follow Jesus by finding what pleases him.

What is your fascination with how Christians worship?

Why don’t you explain how and why Muslims wash before praying. It has nothing to do how and why Jesus or Moses did.

Check out post #141! That should answer your question!

The first Muslim I met who zealously prayed 5 times a day and washed before prayers was a serial paedophile who had spent over a decade in jail - yet his local mosque were still willing to allow him to work with children (although he was not allowed to under the conditions of his license and declined). yes, the focus on the external can have dire consequences.

On the contrary, how and why Muslims wash before praying has a great deal indeed to do with how and why Jesus and Moses (pbut) did it.

In the Qur’an, Surah al-Maa’idah, (5:6), ablution for prayer is prescribed as follows:

**} يَأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَاغْسِلُواْ

وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُواْ بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَينِ … {

“O you who believe, when you intend to pray, wash your faces and fore-arms up to the elbows, wipe your heads and wash your feet up to the ankles …”**

And merely having a shower before prayer is not really ablution because one has to also have the intent in one’s heart to wash oneself for the sake of the Creator… and so perhaps Christians need to include this intent whenever they take a bath before going for their prayers.

See the bold text and that might answer you your question. Why worrying/judging too much on the outside if we can’t tell what is in one’s heart.

Ham - why on earth put Arab quotations in your posts? It means nothing to me. Until you start reading posts you are not going to get very far.
And until you start really wanting to find out about Jesus, your life’s work will be as dust. Do you really want to do what Jesus wants, or is it just Mohammed you want to please?
God or man - that is the stark choice.

There is a reason why Jesus, Moses, Aron and the other Prophets (peace and blessing be upon them all) were commanded to make ablution before prayers as recorded in the Bible.

Christians need to understand the reason why ablution before formal prayers has been so commanded by the Lord.

Ham, let us get one thing clear - us Christians know what we have been commanded to do - and quoting the book written by a Bedouin instead of inspired by God does not change that one iota.
You need to recognize that Jesus came to free us. Muhammed came to enslave.
PS Jesus was not a prophet - he was the Son of God. Big difference.
