Oh Look,
**A Former Trump Adviser Met With A Russian Spy **
**Carter Page told BuzzFeed News that he had been in contact with at least one Russian spy working undercover out of Moscow’s UN office in 2013. **

NEW YORK — A former campaign adviser for Donald Trump met with and passed documents to a Russian intelligence operative in New York City in 2013.
**

The adviser, Carter Page, met with a Russian intelligence operative named Victor Podobnyy, who was later charged by the US government alongside two others for acting as unregistered agents of a foreign government. The charges, filed in January 2015, came after federal investigators busted a Russian spy ring that was seeking information on US sanctions as well as efforts to develop alternative energy. Page is an energy consultant…**

This will become clearer when information comes out with regards to Page, Rosneft, Putin, Tillerson, Cayman Islands, 19.5% share, sanctions, Cyprus, Manafort, holding companies, Alpha Bank…
You forgot John Podesta and his brother! 😉

This influenced the election how?

Maybe he passed them a Chinese Restaurant menu! 😃

This sounds an awful, lot like Prince, a private citizen, interfering in diplomacy… with a whole lot less reason than Flynn had.

Hey @adamentous maybe mention in the headline that Erik Prince is Trump Ed Secretary Betsy Devos’s brother?

You can see their testimonies. They apparently targeted Trump himself at opportune times when he was online, and he then “amplified” the fake news messages. It’s all there for the public to see. I don’t have time to dig it up, but I’ve provided links to the House and Senate hearings.
What are the examples of such fake news that Trump was “apparently targeted” (by the way, by your use of language there, that doesn’t sound like this is known to have definitively occurred), with that he then I presume shared to his followers or spoke about?

Why not believe Russian involvement the evidence is all there as Reagan would say?

No question Russia meddled in election, US ambassador says

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said there’s no question Russia was involved in the U.S. presidential election and that the actions of the Kremlin will be addressed after the investigations are completed.

‘‘We don’t want any country involved in our elections, ever,’’ Nikki Haley said in an interview aired Sunday on ABC’s ‘‘This Week.’’

Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied his country meddled in the contest between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. While the Trump White House rejects any suggestion that Trump or his staff had connections to Russia, Trump himself has said he believes Russian operatives hacked Democratic Party emails but that any Russian involvement in the election didn’t affect the outcome.

U.S. intelligence agencies report that Russia tried to help Trump’s campaign effort…

Blackwater founder held secret Seychelles meeting to establish Trump-Putin back channe
**l:eek:

**The United Arab Emirates arranged a secret meeting in January between Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a Russian close to President Vladi*mir Putin as part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump, according to U.S., European and Arab officials.
**
The meeting took place around Jan. 11 — nine days before Trump’s inauguration — in the Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean, officials said. Though the full agenda remains unclear, the UAE agreed to broker the meeting in part to explore whether Russia could be persuaded to curtail its relationship with Iran, including in Syria, a Trump administration objective that would be likely to require major concessions to Moscow on U.S. sanctions…

Stop listiening to right wing shrills!
Why would Trump need a back-channel line of communications if he was going to be inaugurated President 9 days later? This doesn’t make sense.

I think they’re starting to confuse themselves!
🤷

So many responses, perhaps I repeat someone:
  1. There is NO evidence that Russians interfered with the ACTUAL voting.
  2. Americans pride ourself on having OPEN campaigns. Anyone can spout off about any issue. It is up to us to determine if their views have merit enough to cause us to vote one way or the other. Tis very hard to quantify how many changed their vote based on what they heard or read.
  3. As for this campaign, is there any evidence that what the Russians alleged did was to put out in public LIES? If they did put out LIES to the public, just who challenged those lies during the campaign?
  4. With full knowledge that computers get hacked by anyone willing to try - Russian or not - just what did each campaign do to protect their computers from hacking?
  5. As I recall, the Dems were not all that unhappy until AFTER HRC lost.
  6. As I recall, during the campaign there were several TRUTHS made known the DEMS wanted to keep secret from the voters. O REALLY? Hide the facts from me and tell me to trust you? I think not.

Not sure if this was posted yet, lost track of the thread a while back. This is very detailed.

Here’s what we know so far about Team Trump’s ties to Russian interests
Give us a hint: where is the information that anyone did anything that is actually illegal, aside from Flynn’s not registering as a foreign agent (which seems to have some bits missing in this article)? i have read half of it and haven’t seen anything illegal, except possibly the level of innuendo.

The same people convinced that Trump is either illegally connected to Russia or that there is heretofore unseen evidence that warrants further investigation are the same people on this board tripping over themselves to parse the words of Farkas and Rice and insist we are making a mountain out of a molehill and that there is no “there” there.

The real threat that I see to this country and one that must be confronted, comes from those who have been attempting to demonize the President even before he was elected, and escalate tensions with Russia.
and the Democrats and their party!

I am not sure that anyone who has expressed that they are convinced that Trip et al have done something illegal. The determination that investigation is warranted has been made by the FBI. I am not sure why people feel they are in a position to dispute that finding; IIRC, no one has explained why their data and analysis is better.

Farkas and Rice, like Trump, deserve to be considered on the basis of what they have said, and done. Not the biased musing of the spin cycle. There is plenty of room for discussion on these matters, and cogent analysis, even among all the foot stomping, name calling, and labeling.

Lee Stranahan

A former Breitbart News writer is launching a radio show for Russian propaganda network Sputnik.

“I’m on the Russian payroll now, when you work at Sputnik you’re being paid by the Russians,” former Breitbart investigative reporter Lee Stranahan told me. “That’s what it is. I don’t have any qualms about it. Nothing about it really affects my position on stuff that I’ve had for years now.”

Stranahan’s new position is the latest twist in the increasingly atomized world of niche right-wing media, which has seen an increase in prominence and influence during the Trump era. It also reflects a realignment on the right towards Russia as the administration, led by an unusually Russia-receptive president, becomes increasingly entangled in a drip-drip of stories about Russian influence.

U.S. deports Russian spy who posed as bank employee

The United States deported convicted spy Evgeny Buryakov to Russia Wednesday morning, CBS News’ Andres Triay reports.

Buryakov, 42, was sent to Russia on commercial flights, escorted by deportation officers and turned over to Russian authorities, U.S. Immigration and Customs and Enforcement (ICE) said in a news release Wednesday.

Buryakov worked in the U.S. for several years as an agent of Russia’s foreign intelligence agency, according to court documents and ICE. He operated under non-official cover – meaning he was in the U.S. as a private citizen – and posed as an employee in the New York office of Vnesheconombank, or VEB, a Russian bank.

Vnesheconombank, or VEB, a Russian bank is a state-owned Russian corporation formed in 2007 that is closely tied to the Russian government. Its chairman is appointed by the Russian president. The Russian prime minister is chairman of the bank supervisory board.
The bank has helped rescue financially troubled oligarchs and has financed infrastructure projects. The bank has been under US sanctions.
