So all encyclicals ever written are essentially Catholic dogma? Interesting.
Jesus said, He who hears you hears me, and that applies to every true pope; so if a true pope teaches something in an encyclical to resolve some issue, then the issue IS resolved, and all of the faithful MUST submit in intellect and in will to that truth which has been pronounced, even if what is being pronounced is not dogmatic or infallible. Some encyclicals contain infallible teaching, others do not. I never said that all encyclicals are infallible. Please show me where I did, if you think that I did, because I do not recall ever having said something untrue like that. God bless you.

New Advent seems to disagree. newadvent.org/cathen/05413a.htm
Pope Pius X threw down his 1910 Catholic Encyclopedia after he finished reading it and said: Modernism! (or he said: Modernists!) And what he said was true, for I have read Modernism in it too-things that just are not right. I do not care anymore what is contained in it–it is unreliable as a source and dangerous to read. God bless you.

So…you must submit in intellect and will…sounds pretty dogmatic to me. By the way, I never accused you of saying all encyclicals are infallible…just that they become dogma.

You didn’t know that we must submit in intellect and in will to all of the universal teachings of the Church on faith and morals? It is true that we must. God bless you.

Of course I knew…it’s one of the reasons I left. I have seen no evidence to support divine inspiration or approval of anything. It just took me many years to realize it.

I didn’t realize that you are a Deist.
