Hi everyone,

I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Ordination of Roger Pasionek as a Permanent Deacon for the Diocese of Saginaw, MI.

The ordination took place at Holy Family in Saginaw, where the Deacon will be assigned.

It was a beautiful service, although they took the incense into the small chapel, and the smoke detectors had something to say about it:eek: Anyway, despite a minute or so of blaring fire alarms (thankfully, the parish music director was quick on the draw 👍 and got the alarm silenced and cancelled the fire department) we all had a great time.

Bishop Carlson did a great job, and the Mass was concelebrated by several priests and deacons from around the Diocese. It was a very nice service.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. Holy Family is one of the few, if not the only church left in Saginaw that hasn’t been modernized.

It’s wonderful that the Bishop is busy with ordinations these days. Things are looking up!
