This may have already been addressed, but I seriously doubt the website the OP linked was assembled by a “religious professor”:
The **strait **sun **reys **are the male and the **wavey **ones the female. **Intresting **note
The pope **reanacts **the rebirth of the sun by placing the round wafer into the half moon.
NOTE: The symbol of Catholicism is the star and **moon. We **find this ritual in the most interesting of place.
This glass design is found in a Catholic Church in New Orleans.** What is at the bottom the star and moon.** Lets see if we flip the symbol** up side** down. Wow, the male and female image. You say it’s for the New Orleans Police, tell me what does the police have anything to do with church?
Who gave rise to whom? Obviously the one who came first can only give rise to the one that comes second and not the second that gives rise to the one that rises first. Islam and Catholicism is the same religion.
Apart from his or her utter ignorance of both Islamic and Catholic doctrine and practice, the writer seems to lack to possess poor command of English grammar, spelling, and syntax – let alone the ability to formulate convincing arguments supported by documented research. In short, that website hardly comes off as the work of a scholar of any kind.

That must be one bright and burning book.😃
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hislop was a basket case. In spite of his ridiculous claims, some people believed him. I have a copy of his book - it’s pure torture to try to read it! (And no, I didn’t pay good money for the book. An anti-Catholic sent it to me.)

Ralph Woodrow believed the garbage & wrote a modern version of Hislop’s book. Some years later he actually did some research & realized that Hislop was out in left field. WAY out. So Woodrow wrote a book debunking his own book & Hislop’s, The Babylon Connection?

If you go to Woodrow’s website, you’ll find an explanation.
Thanks, I had for gotten Woodrow’s name!! He is really good at debunking this kind of thing. (And he is a Protestant minister, by the way).

My father showed me some stuff which links the muslim faith, catholicism, and the masonic brotherhood; I found this to be extremely disconcerting, especially considering im planning on beginning with RCIA in the immediate future. Here’s the link in question:

What really bothered me was the symbolism in the monstrance; somebody please set me straight.

Here’s a monstrance, too. Go to Google images and put in “monstrance” and see what comes up. I always thought the rays represented a halo, or made me think of Jesus as Light of the World. Some are pretty plain, most are not. There’s no official Catholic version, afaik. There are common forms people are used to, of course.

I am a convert and I will warn you about something before you start RCIA: Satan hates the Church and you will have to face more or less of this kind of attack, often from people you know. You have to be able to stand up to it.

There’s nothing weird or secret about the Church. Sounds like the Liar is trying to head you off. You choose.

I have been Catholic for 10 years and I believe it is the Church established by Jesus Christ to bring the Gospel to the world. That’s my conclusion. I haven’t seen any hidden link to Islam, or any secret agendas to worship pagan gods. The Church is Christ centered and you will discover that if you approach RCIA with an open mind.

I’m a convert, and my experience is that while most friends and family will respect your interest in the Church, some will try to change your mind by presenting you with some pretty far out stuff. They are exhibiting their own confirmation bias with these websites. Instead of refuting this stuff, ask you family to read a good Catholic apologetic or have them attend the mass with you.

God Bless
