Yes thats the one that was in my home since childhood, it always took centre place on the wall, right above the mantle piece…
Its a beautiful depiction of the Sacred Heart… Its no wonder it took central place on your walls.

I have to admit, even though I am praying the Divine Mercy every day, the devotion to the Sacred Heart is still very much a part of my spiritual life. In our church we have a small side altar with a life sized statue of Jesus as the Sacred Heart. I sit there when I go to church to pray.

I am coming to the conclusion that devotions to Jesus such as … His Precious Blood… His Sacred Wounds…His Sacred Heart… and finally the Divine Mercy… are all dear to Him. However, reading the Diary of St Faustine it becomes apparent that the Divine Mercy devotion is timely and Jesus seems to engage us more in this devotion. At the least He has more to say than in previous private revelations concerning his devotions.

Reading posts here and elsewhere it seems the ''Diary ‘’ has … is…having a great impact on many of us. I’m re-reading it again.

The wound in Jesus side has been venerated for centuries…the San Damiano cross… which I learned about from a fellow forum member… shows the blood from his side showering on His beloved disciple.

And btw Bee Sweet, thanks lots for posting the above picture of the Sacred Heart. Its inspiring.

The Divine Mercy devotion started with the Image…

By means of this Image I shall grant many graces to souls.(Diary 742)

"I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish’’
I also promise victory over enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I Myself will defend it as My own glory (Diary, 48). I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature: “Jesus, I trust in You” (Diary, 327).

Much has been said about this Image… that it is ecumenical because it seems like a fusion of eastern and western type images or icons.

But on a more personal level… what does the Image mean to you ?
How do you live this part of the devotion ? Do you use words when you gaze upen the Image ? Prayers ? What goes through your mind as you contemplate this Image ?

For me, its when I abandon my worries about loved ones and those who need my prayers… I don’t formulate any words… its as if I was saying… ‘‘you know who they are and what they need… Jesus I trust in You…Mercy’’

I want to sincerely thank you all for this thread…it quickly became my most favorite…just the thought that there are so many devoted brothers and sisters to the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Image and the Sacred Heart of Jesus, filled my heart with hope and love for us all.

Sadly though…I’ve decided that these forums in general weren’t quite what I expected them to be…far too many hurtful and “smartly” opinionated posters and postings for me to bear. I certainly didn’t meet some poster’s standards and expectations.

God Bless You All and I will continue to pray for Our Father’s endless mercy. St. Faustina, take my hand and press it to your loving heart…Jesus I Trust in You.

Good news : Annie will be back !

Other good news…in another thread… we have been praying to Jesus with trust in His Divine Mercy for one of the members mother who is recently deceased…
Just want to mention that I was hoping my mother’s funeral would be 3:00 p.m. on Saturday because 3:00 pm is the hour of mercy.
I did not mention this to anyone, just a thought in my heart.

It all depends on the crowded schedule of that funeral home.
My sisters had a meeting with the funeral home this morning.
It turns out the available time is 3:00 pm on Saturday.
Praise the Lord!
Isn’t that wonderful ?

Jesus I trust in You. Thank You for listening to our prayers. I know you always listen and that You love us beyond what we could ever understand.

JMJ,
Ricardo

The Divine Mercy is just so sweet, so simple, and yet SO POWERFUL!

In our home we have a Divine Mercy statue on our mantle and a large framed holy card on our wall. In my car I have an image of the Divine Mercy clipped to my sun visor and and a sticker from CatholiCar.com on the back window. I also wear a medal from time to time. The image brings me such peace and sometimes just looking into Our Lord’s beautiful face in the image fills me up with so much love that I almost cry.

For the sake of his sorrowful passion have mercy on us and on the whole world!!

Nice to hear from you Mrs V. I have started a novena of 24 Glory Be’s… one for each year of the life of St Theresa who was consumed with Love for the Sacred Heart and who followed the ‘’ little way of child-like trust ‘’ . Her feast day is October 1st. I hope she obtains great trust in Jesus and confidence in the Divine Mercy for us.

Jesus I trust in You
