Feelings are good. If God exists, God built the possibility of neurons into the universe at the creation, and neurons make feelings possible. I love my cat, and love is a feeling. If my cat will not be with me in the new creation, God’s purpose of instantiating the possibility of feeling will be frustrated.

You’re free to disagree with Fr. Wintz’ speculations regarding animals and heaven. You’re not free to trash an entire religious order (“A Franciscan. Go figure” you said in your first post on this.) Neither are you free to accuse a Catholic priest in good standing - based on that disagreement - of thinking that “Stalin was a good guy and that Hitler was just misunderstood.” That’s just vile.
