Do any CAF members who lean towards the Democrat party put any kind of pressure on the Party or on Democrat candidates to change their Pro-Choice (pro

I use to think exactly like you for 10 years, till I started see so much racism in the Republican party. As a Hispanic I could never support a party thats calls us less than humans. That is just the start of the many issues with it.

One of these days I’ll make a chart of which of the parties is the lesser evil. For me, Democrats are way the lesser of evils than Republicans.

Your experience and mine are exact opposites. I was raised Democrat, was a member of the party and held office in the party. My wife held office in the party too. We left the party when we realized one could not simultaneously follow Church teachings and the policies of the party. The major event was when she gave a speech to the State Committee in which she encouraged the party to accept and support prolife Democrat candidates. Afterward she was told by party committee members that she should never give a speech like that again because it was “divisive”.
“Divisive”??? In other words, there’s only one acceptable way to see abortion as a Democrat and that’s to support it. But that wasn’t the only thing. And over the years, the party has gotten more and more so, to the extent that it now doesn’t stand for anything else.

I think you’re reacting to what you’re TOLD is racism among Repubs. But you need to realize that a sizeable percentage of Hispanics do vote Republican. And the highest number of abortions is among blacks and Hispanics. So who’s the racists here?

I’m not saying all Republicans are racist, but with Trump it has exploded. So much hate in the party.

I hate abortion also, but lets be real. No Republican candidate will ever be able to remove it. Its set in stone by the supreme court many years back. Supreme court also ruled for gay marriage with majority conservative judges.

So you see, your votes for Republican candidates based on these issues only are in vain. They can do nothing for these causes.

Media claims that the Republicans are “racist” have exploded. A lot of the media just doesn’t care to be called out for their Fake News and Trump plays them like a Stradivarius.

But there is nothing new about the Media calling Republicans “racist” , they said the same about Romney, the Bushes, McCain, Reagan.

No one knew that Donald J Trump was a “racist” until he clinched the GOP nomination in 2016.

Ancient news is no news. How many people showed up? Five? There’s only 150-200 in the whole organization, according to the article. And there was no definite date for the parade, which means it didn’t happen at all.

And they don’t wear masks anymore. How old is the photo?

You’re just wrong. There have been a lot of prolife things accomplished, all by Repubs, though most have been on the state level.

It’s true Kennedy is the “rogue” Repub on the Supreme court. But “Carhart vs. Gonzales” is instructive. It was about whether states could ban the odious and inhuman practice of “partial birth abortion”; that is, killing a viable baby seconds before its birth. ALL Dem appointees voted against allowing states to ban it. ALL Repub appointees voted to allow the bans. That horrific practice was even too much for Kennedy. But it was okay with all the Dems. Not only was it okay with them, they voted to make it a constitutional right.

There’s the difference in voting for Dems versus Repubs. Vote for the abortion supporters and you’re just as guilty as the doctor holding the knife.

Says who? You God? Republicans wage war on nations killing millions. Its estimated 1 million Iraqis died in their invasion. Families ripped apart at the borders. Even our Pope condemned this. Hating the poor, minority, illegal, etc… Only caring for the rich my dad used to tell me. Soo much more of most an all white party.

What does war have to do with abortion?

No. Pope Benedict said it’s sinful to support a candidate who promotes an intrinsic evil unless its for proportionate reasons. There’s no current political issue proportionate to killing 1 million innocent children per year. Not even close.

That Iraqi number is also wrong. You’re thinking of the million Saddam killed before he was deposed. Nobody hates the poor, minorities or illegals.

When I was a young man, the Dem party really did care for the poor and middle class, and Repubs cared about the rich. But the parties have switched. The Dems had total control of the government for almost two years and did NOTHING for the poor or middle class. Well, they did do “cash for clunkers”, a subsidy to the people rich enough to buy new cars. But they destroyed the “clunkers” poor people rely on.

You’re living in the past. Sorry, and I don’t mean to be unkind. But you really are.

29% of Hispanics voted for Trump. It’s not an “all-white” party.

Neither party is good good honestly. If there was a Catholic Party that rose up that stood up for social causes and morality causes, I’d be for that one.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, its a hard world to live in. We are in this world, but not of this world. We have a heavenly kingdom to look forward to…

Peace brothers… 🙂

They are not the same thing if you are a Catholic. Killing in combat is not a sin.

You think Jesus or any of the Biblical Saints would of volunteered to invade Iraq, and kill people on behalf of the US Government?

I’d rather go to jail if there was a draft than kill innocent people overseas.

Substitute Vietnam for Iraq, or Afghanistan.

Watch “Martin Luther King, “Why I Am Opposed to the War in Vietnam”” on YouTube

Martin Luther King is not Catholic.

Following an order to attack and kill the enemy is not a sin in the Catholic Church. Catholics have a long and proud history in military combat.

Abortion, on the other hand, is abhorrent to God. It is an abomination.
