I’m a 23 year old guy who still plays regular Nintendo once in a while–RBI baseball to be exact. I love that game! Especially the music:

Dun dun du-dun dun, dun dun du-dun dun, dun dun du-dun dun, dun dun, dun du-dun dun dun, dun du-dun dun dun, dun dun dun, dun dun dun, dun dun du-dun (and repeat).

No one can convince me that any modern baseball video game is better than good old RBI.
The American League All Stars (specifically, McGwire and George Bell) are the best.

Also Vince Coleman on the Cardinals is so ridiculously fast.

That’s a classic!

I’m a girl and I play video games. I play on the xbox or pc. For xbox I like Fable, and Panzer Dragoon Orta. On the pc I play shooters like Call of Duty online. But the Nancy Drew games are my favorites. There are also Sherlock Holmes games, I have The Mystery of the Mummy. I also like rpgs, I used to play Neverwinter Nights, but it doesn’t really hold my interest… now I want Guild Wars.

I am fortunate to have a dad and brother who like computer games, so we always have great games to play!!!

I’m a girl, and I do play video games, but not on the computer, and not online. I have an Xbox that I rent games for sometimes, even though I rarely have the time for them. There’s a new Spongebob game out that I absolutely MUST rent, but with finals coming up next week, I’m going to be hard pressed to make time to play it.

K, so my brother finally got around to picking up World of Warcraft about 3 months ago. He’s level 60 paladin, and now I’m hooked.

:dancing:

(Watched him do the Molten Core instance with a 40 man raid group… very cool, they were all on VENT (VOIP) and strategized real time). It was like the war dialogue from some great Patton movie!

:rotfl:

DD and I are racing to see who can get their mounts first. (We’re both under level 20 so we’ve got a way to go… 🙂

Wonderful game. It has a fee/mo. But if you pay for a whole year it’s like 10 or 11 bucks a month. Some people buy cable- I pay for DSL and WOW…

I hear so much about WoW, it makes me want to get it. But I’m sticking to Guild Wars, and maybe the new Chronicles of Narnia game (I’m not sure what genre it is).

I am currently working on a game that I hope will be out sometime next year…I’m glad Catholic boys and girls play video games…this one will be for YOU…and no I am not going to reveal one darn thing - I just wanted you to know that people in the industry know about you, know you want stuff to play that is challenging, fun and not immoral and are trying hard to come up with stuff.

I’m pretty much a gamer, though not a hardcore one. Only system I owned was an original NES, playing Super mario Bros 1 and 3 and a few other non-memorable titles.

Then mostly spent playing games on PC, Aside fromt he usual card games, I tried Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear, and then got quite addicted to the Age of Empires series both 1 and then 2. 3’s out now and I’ve yet to try it… Also played the original DOOM and Halo 1 on PC and Enter the Matrix.

Most of the time I play on friend’s consoles. I absolutely love the Metal Gear Solid series as well as Silent Hill and Resident Evil, thoguh I’ve yet to play al the Res Evil games. Also now and then some Burnout and Devil May Cry and I’ve fooled around with other PS2 and Xbox and nintendo games… love Super Smash Bros, Starfox, and other Mario titles.

Planning on getting Playstation 3 and maybe even a Nintendo Revolution which I’m sure will appeal to many moms and old folks out there to get into gaming :D. Gonna buy a DS for my sister and later on down the line get a PSP for myself.

I’m a girl, and I am a causal nintendo player. lol. I love the adventure games, my favorite being Ocarina of Time. My guilty pleasure is the mutiplayer games in Perfect Dark. We have fun with the timed mines and grenade launchers. 👍
:angel1:

Guy: Xbox 360 with Call of Duty 2 and Madden 2006.

Also play a ton of PC games such as Half-Life 2, Far Cry, etc.

More or less I’m a huge gamer. Pretty obsessed actually. I just rented Burnout for the PSP and it’s mad good.

I have the Xbox. Was looking forward to getting the Xbox 360 until Microsoft made the biggest marketing gaffe ever (with the possible exception of “New” Coke) by not making enough consoles available. I mean if you are trying to take over a market, you need make enough so that people can get them (but I’m rambling).

I haven’t played much lately between a full time job, grad school and home remodeling.

When we do play, I normally do co-op games because I generally can’t play unless she plays with me 🙂 . The Baldur’s gate games were great for that.

We also like good od-fashioned board games. We played Cranium on Thanksgiving night and had a great time. My dad and father-in-law were on one team. We just about died laughing when my FIL had to use charades to get my dad to guess “hormones”.

Yeah I do and I’m female!

If I’m really bored, I’ll fly on Flight Simulator and that’s a GREAT WAY to see the world and imagine how beautiful the world is! If you guys have it, you’d know! 👍 The mountains and scery are sooooo cool!

Don’t believe me? Look:

I also have a friend who plays FS too because her boyfriend works at an airport.

Hello all,
As a young adult Catholic, I have been swept into the world of video games. Now, I assume that there are other guys who play games out there, but are there girls? I’m just curious and want to know if you play. Also, what do you, guys and girls, play. Name your system. And whether you play online or not.

Example: Guy; X-box; not online; Halo 2 (presently)

This is just a bare-bones example. But, if you want to talk about gaming, go ahead. If you want to talk about the lack of good games, or something else, go ahead. Just want a general idea, if you are out there. Thanks.

Guy, Playstation 2, not-online, NCAA football and any other good game.

Girl; occasional GBA or GameCube, mostly PC; play online; World of Warcraft (only online game apart from a free, text-based MUDD), Diablo II, anything Zelda, TimeSplitters, Super Mario Smash Bros. Melee…
I don’t play games too often seeing as how it interferes with studying, but I usually let myself have an hour or two on weekends. Playing WoW during this time lets me also play and chat with friends I no longer live near.
Go geek power!

Man, that’s true. Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance brought my boyfriend and me closer together, and that’s the truth.

There’s a Chronicles of Narnia game? Surely not a massively-multiplayer online roleplaying game? 'Cause I’d have heard of it… Man, a Narnia MMO would be so awesome. Guess I’ll have to just wait around for the Middle Earth MMO that they’ve been promising us for forever.

Aaron I.:
I am an 18 year old guy. I prefer PC to console games. The only games I will play on my own are RPGs. Any competitive game should only be played against other people because AI can never beat even a midlevel gamer. I love Starcraft, TFC (a mod of Half Life), and various other RTSs or FPSs. Last year in high school my friends had a lot of LAN parties with about a dozen people. A bit nerdy of a thing to do considering most of us were varsity athletes, but it was a blast. The best part was always the girls showing up to hang out and just standing around because they don’t like video games. They’d be very interested when we talked about it, prompting me to ask what interested them about 12 guys playing computer games in a garage for 12 hours.

Anyways, I’d just like to point out that Super Mario Cart is the best game ever, and that I can probably beat anyone in the world at it.
The major difference between most nerdy LAN parties and your LAN parties is the presence of girls. Believe me, the girls had nothing to do with the games (as evidenced by their not playing them) and everything to do with the varsity boys. 😛

I play World of Warcraft. I picked it up a couple of months ago - and I’m a 51 druid!

it’s exciting.

(I’m on the Moonrunner realm, and my name is Melkortopia - if any of you are on there, gimme a /tell 🙂 )

Ah, World of Warcraft, some of my friends play it, I hear it is very addictive. I generally don’t play much RPGs although I have become a bit more interested lately after being introduced to the tabletop kind. 1 thing I don’t like about WoW is how you have to pay for it every month though… I’m used to a 1 off payment and then play the game for years, or even download it for free if it is abandonware or freeware, and then play the game for years (-:

I like RTS’s like Starcraft, but I also like a lot of old styles of games that sadly don’t get made much any more. Anyone else here like 2D platformers (commander keen, original duke nukem, crystal caves anyone?) What about racing games (my favorite would probably be Wipeout3 on the playstation - I play both consoles and PCs). Also those classic puzzle games - anyone here like lemmings and the incredible machine? Well, except for when the puzzles get so hard they drive you insane. And what about simple arcade style games like space invaders, frogger, galaga? Those games still haven’t lost their appeal for me. I wish I was around when they first came out! And finally, I must say that I love to try creative games, something which is a mix of genres or unplaceable in any genre, from way outta left field. I mean isn’t the entertainment industry meant to be delivering us fresh stuff that hasn’t been seen before? I was pretty impressed by the original ‘grand theft auto’ for example, with its mix of crazy car driving, adventure game style play, weapon wielding and campaigns.

Girl, 20.
I own the Nintendo Gamecube and N64. My favorite game for the GC is Eternal Darkeness.
My all time favorite game though is the first Silent Hill. That game is just amazing. I love the riddles.
I don’t play online.

I am addicted to games. Mainly I play PS2 and PSP. I am a soccer fanatic so I am sooo happy to hear Winning Eleven 9 is out on both psp and PS2. if you dont know its, its perhaps the msot realistic soccer game anywhere.
