Do Catholics and Protestants believe in the same Gospel?

Now here is the most notable difference between my gosple and your gosple. I have lived the gosple of Christ, i have suffered for the faith, have paid all, and i mean all, I have heard the voices of God the father at different times and the voice of God the son at different times and the voice of the holy spirit they are all different voices each different and each testifying of the other and always agreeing with the scriptures.
For 7 years i was persucated for the witness of Christ. I have seen into the spirit realm and have even seen powers of darkness such as a prienapality. Please excuse the speeling this in my my natural tounge. In that time of persucation God unvailed the Gosple of christ to me and empowed me and i worked mericals and also recieved the annointing of God. I also was ministered to by God and his ministering angles so were did i get the gosple from, directly from GOD. So do you believe in the gosple of Christ it is written in his book. Are you following Christ or your form of the gosple.
We are taught that there will be many Christ taugh and many are coming and all false but one the Christ of the cross. Is you faith in man and a earthly church. Or in the finished work of the cross. Do you recall the day of your salvation. Was it a special event on your life. Drug addits recieve salvation all the time, murders and drunks recieve salvation all the time and no minister is leading them, no priest is praying over them so the gosple of Christ is his gosple and he administers it to whom he desires how ever he desires.
The catholic church promotes the false priesthood of men over the real priesthood of Christ as the one high priest between God and man as scripture teaches thus they have created a priesthood that is not based in any known word of scripture it is made up. You do not need any other priest other then Jesus Christ and God will not honor such. Christ offered his blood one and sat down as high priest for all tiems next tot he father. The catholic church has tryed to recreat a priesthood based on the levitical preisthood which God destroyed by creating a eternal high priest in the person of Jesus so by what authority has the Holy Roman Chruch created this new priesthood. It is fiction. The priesthood was about the law the priesthood of Christ is about grace thus they do not mix. You can’t serve two masters weather they are the law and grace or money and God.
So is the gosple of catholic and the gosple of the protestants the same gosple. Indeed not. It is written my sheep know my voice. Has God spoke to you! In my short life i have seen the tower of david, held the rod of the prophet and served as a prophet, ministered as as apostle and lived as a holy reject among man. And I have suffered for the faith. Yeat I count all this nothing for the cause of Christ. For what do you stand for what do you live and for what do you die. I preach Christ and the Finished work of the cross.
What are you preaching, You preach worship mary as a goddess above sin, that is not the gosple. You preach puratory that is not the gosple, you preach the eucharist being the actualy blood of christ and the bread of his body and him being put to the cross anew that is not the gosple read hebrews were is states he will not suffer the cross but one time. He is not put to the same of the cross anew in the eucharist. You teach to pray to the saints that have passed over. This is forbidden in the word of God. We have one high priest to him alone do we go in prayer. You promote carved images. God has forbidden us to make any carved image of anything in heaven above or below. You promote a preisthood amoung man but God has destroyed the priesthood amoung men and as established one priesthood that of Jesus the eternal High Priest. and has declared us all equal priest before God. So are you seeing your church at the authority or the word of God. His name is Jesus. And to him alone belongs salvaton he does not honor what is not of him. Nor are all who call upon his name his.
Is it not writen not all who declare themselfs of Israel are of Israel. We are a royal priesthood heirs and joint heirs before God. We are kings and priest. He was not made a priest with out a oath.
So do you know God have you met Christ or do you just know about christ. Some of the catholic may be saved most will not be. Some indeed have met Christ i am sure. But they also have left the church of the catholic in order to follow Christ. You do not serve to master and Christ alone is our master. We as christians can’t bow to a bishop or a pope or a earthly priest because to do so is sin. We bow to Christ and him alone to bow to a man is sin before the lamb of God. Did not the apostle even stop them from bowing to him when he preformed mericals by the power of God. Even the angle who john bowed before said am i not your fellow worker bow not.
We know Christ we are the saved and the redeemed. The born again of God. Are you?
Here we go again

How shall they know with out hear and how shall they hear with out someone telling them the Good news. You hvae indeed ask a great question. The answer a great question before i answer it i wish to explain that i am not speaking in the power of my flesh but in the very spirit of love that has been given by the Lord Christ.
Joseph-

Thus, you declare yourself to be speaking for Christ.

Tell me, are you infallible? By what authority do you presume to teach? How can I be sure that your interpretation of the scriptures is correct? Or better than my own interpretation of them? In fact, how can you be sure that my interpretation is not BETTER than your own?

Listen carefully, my brother, Jesus said to the disciples He commissioned, “He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me.” (Luke 10:16)

He also told the Apostles, “All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” (John 14:24-25)

The Apostles and their successors, the Bishops of the Catholic Church, are still with us, and I acknowledge their authority.

“As for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.” (John 9:29)

It really, really bothers me when some of my fellow non-Catholic Christians complain loudly about papal infallibility (which they usually don;'t understand), & yet, like our friend Joseph here, appear to believe that:eek: they themselves are infallible…
It’s a double standard, & that is totally unfair!!

Maybe I’m just a little simple in the way I look at this, but to me, the Gospel = Jesus Christ. When I see people following Him, out of love & devotion, I say we have the same Gospel, becasue we have the same Lord!!

I know I make lots & lots of mistakes. I wouldn’t dare set myself up as an example for other people to follow. I just keep on, following the Man with the nail-scarred hands, & believeing that all those of us who love Him, are called His loved & His own.

For the Catholic, the Gospel or “Good News” comes from “Magisterial Teaching”, which is derived from Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture.
?
wrong, for Catholics the good news, as in the gospel, comes from Divine Revelation. The fullness of Divine Revelation is the Person of Jesus Christ, Son of God, 2nd person of the Trinity, at once fully human and fully divine. Christ is present on earth in the Catholic Church which he founded and to whom he sent his Holy Spirit to protect and guide as it transmits Divine Revelation through Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture and whom Jesus authorized to teach and preach the good news through its magesterial office.

For the Catholic, the Gospel or “Good News” comes from “Magisterial Teaching”, which is derived from Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture…(continued on Magisterial Teaching) the Truth already was, is and forever shall be! It is not by our own understanding that we receive Truth, it is by faith in that which has already been revealed “divine revelation” that we receive Truth.
Thank you puzzleannie, for those of us who didn’t get that the first time. Have a Merry Christmas and May the Peace of our Lord be with you and your family.

Joseph Smith -Thank you for your sincerity and personal view of the Catholic Gospel. Again I was seeking “personal views” and that is yours - so you said nothing wrong according to what “you” truly believe. Although there are not many people on this thread that may agree with you, I’m sure you know many that do.

Joseph Smith your Account Is Under Review and I personally believe that it shouldn’t be, This topic is asking for your sincere view of the Catholic Gospel and you gave it, if you are Banned for your opinion then those who sincerely believe as you do, would not be heard at all.

Joseph Smith, Have a Merry Christmas and May the Peace of our Lord be with you and your family.

What is interesting is that I read here where someone said that Catholics are born again/born of God at baptism. If they are truly born again, then why do we see so many of them falling away from faith or making a mockery of Christianity by living a life of worldiness and idolatry. The Bible says that the person who is born of God will show evidences such as these…

Practicing of righteousness…
1 John 2:29…29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him.

Loves the brethren…
1 John 3:14…14 We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.

Hates sin and does not practice it…
1 John 3:9…9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Loves…
1 John 4:7…7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Confesses…
1 John 4:15…15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

Believes on Christ…
1 John 5:1…1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him.

Perseveres…
1 John 5:4…4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.

Keeps commandments…
1 John 2:3…3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments.

By the way, after John says all of the things he writes…

1 John 5:13…13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Not lustful…
Galatians 5:24 NAS95 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Walk in the Spirit…
Romans 8:4 NAS95 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:9…9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Perform works…
John 14:12…12 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.

I specifically bring your attention to 1 John 5:4 above…that whosoever is born of God overcomes the world through living and fruitful faith. This cannot be said of all Catholics. So, then the rebirth does not take place at baptism or scripture is wrong. The first premise, obviously, is the one that is wrong.

Are you suggesting that every “born again” Baptist has “overcome the world” or have you known a few who were backsliders?

They were not born again if they permanently backslid…for God promises this…

Psalms 37:23-24 KJV 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Proverbs 24:16 KJV 16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

Those that permanently fall away were not saved…we have considered…

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries…
…29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Or Hebrews 6…

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

And there is also John 15 and 2 Peter 20-22 as well as others. What you are saying is that these people were born of God and lost it. Well, I spoke with my favorite “once saved always saved” scripture, 1 John 5:4

1Jo 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

This teaches that once a person is born again, they are saved forever. But I will show you even more clearly now that these people were not saved. Scriptures/passages to support…

James 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
In the Hebrews 6 passage there is the thought of enlightmentment - that had the word penetrated into the heart but the heart was not right. That is why James says to repent.

We have this passage…which lines up with these perfectly…

Lu 13:6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

The word was planted, God’s graces were allowed to work on it a little longer but it never bore fruit. Never saved - the word was implanted but never born again.

Mt 21:19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.
20 And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!

Reminds us of the parable of the sower…

Lu 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
…15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

For the one who was born - the one with a repentant heart turning away from the slavemaster of sin to the Lord Jesus Christ as the Lord of their live…the gospel becomes the power of God and they are born again…never to lose their salvation based on God’s promises. The others either had hard hearts where the word did not penetrate or it penetrated into soils that were not proper (not repentant and submitted to the Lordship of Christ).

These people are those who die off in the wilderness…that never entered the promised land…

Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

The word was implanted but they were never saved. But once saved - aways saved is the teaching of 1 John 5:4 and the many other scriptures that accompany it.

I hope this helps.

Merry Christmas

Living faith works - faith that is not dependant on works but on the finished work of Christ

OSAS is false doctrine…Unfortunately, a small but vocal minority of non-Catholic Christians have seized upon it, & the result is very sad…
Linkovski, I understand that this is what you have been taught, but it is not the teaching of the Scriptures, nor of the Early Church Fathers. OSAS only appears to be true, because some teachers have wrested a few verses from their context, in order to make them appear to be true.

Furthermore, :tsktsk: for presuming to know who is & who is not going to be saved!

What does 1 John 5:4 tell you?

1 John 5:4 KJV 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Thank You Linkowski,
I was the one who posted that catholics become part of the New Covenant through baptism, or in other words, Catholics are “Born Again” through baptism becoming a member of the family of God.

There’s a big difference in a Catholic’s understanding of being “Born Again” to a Protestants understanding of being “Born Again”. As I understand your position “clearly”, hopefully you can take the time to understand mine.

Catholics believe that baptism is a sacrament instituted by Christ. Catholics believe that through baptism all sin, original and actual, is wiped away. The life of God, called sanctifying grace, is infused into the soul, and a person is “Born Again” of water and the Holy Spirit (Jn 3:5). Jesus made baptism a condition for entering heaven (Jn 3:5; Mk 16:16). In Acts 2:38, St. Peter says that through baptism our sins are forgiven and we receive the Holy Spirit. St. Paul says that we are given new life through baptism (Rom 6:4). Titus 3:5 tells us that we are saved “through the bath of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,” which refers to baptism. 1 Peter 3:20-21 says that “baptism… saves you now.”

For a Catholic we are “Born Again” at baptism where we believe in a “literal” washing away of sins, original and actual. Catholics are “Born Again” through baptism becoming a member of the family of God.

For a Protestant being “Born Again” is a simple profession of faith, in accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Some Protestant denominations require a water baptism in order to be “Born Again”. In either case a protestant sees their profession of faith, or water baptism to be a “symbolic” act of accepting Jesus Christ in their lives.

Protestants confuse the baptism of Jesus with the baptism of John the Baptist. John’s baptism was only a “symbolic” washing; a “symbolic” act. However, John says that Jesus’ baptism would give the Holy Spirit, whereas his own did not (Mt 3:11).

Now although a Catholic believes that through baptism all sins are “literally” washed away and the life of God (sanctifying grace) is infused into the soul, and a person is “Born Again” of water and the Holy Spirit (Jn 3:5), we also believe that we can fall away from that grace because of sin. Catholics do not believe in the doctrine known as “once saved, always saved.”

For a Catholic we take St. Paul’s advice: “work out your salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil 2:12). For a Catholic we are not assured of our salvation, for like St. Paul: “I drive my body and train it, for fear that, after having preached to others, I myself should be disqualified” (1 Cor 9:27). Scripture is very clear: Christians can lose their salvation.

Linkowski, I’m suprised that you gave to me a list of “good works” to prove that one is truly “born again”. 🙂 You have just taken a Catholic position, I don’t think anyone will argue your point on “good works”. Now had you said by “faith alone” that’s a different story. I agree 100% with your “good works” list. But, I believe that those faults fall on both sides, I know mant protestants as I do catholics living in a life of sin… The only difference is that the protestant is still assured of his salvation.

Warning Do not show your “good works” list to a fellow-protestant. “For we consider that a person is justified by faith apart from works of the law,” (Rom 3:28)

Linkowski, The gospel as we know it, is so different between you and I. But by His Blood, we are brother’s in Christ Jesus. Although different in faith, together we will celebrate Our Lord’s Birthday as one.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I am also interested in knowing the meaning of the end of your post…

James 1:26 KJV 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

Again…what does this mean?

1 John 5:4 KJV 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

What does 1 John 5:4 tell you?

1 John 5:4 KJV 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

I am showing you that perseverance is guaranteed to the one who is in Christ…

Hebrews 3:14 NAS95 14 For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,

Hebrews 3:6 NAS95 6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house–whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

So - what these are saying is that … if we have been made partakers of Christ…passed from death to life, been justified…we will continue to the end.

Jesus said - If you continue in my word, you are indeed my disciples.

It is because of who we are that we persevere…we do not become something by persevering.

That is why I asked…if the Catholic that has been “born again” through baptism does not persevere…they were never born again. So how can you claim to be born of God in baptism?

Thanks and Merry Christ-mas!

Linkowski, are you Presbyterian? Reformed?
It sounds like you are talking about predestination, irresistable grace, limited atonement & perseverance of the saints.
But these are not, IMHO, the “Gospel”; the Gospel is the Lord Jesus Christ…
I have friends who believe in some or part of these things. That is Calvinism. very interesting. (😦 Depressing, too!! The very thought that God might deliberately choose not to offer salvation to all is so, so:crying: sad… ) Calvin believed that we have no free will…
I am Methodist. It is so very clear to me, that God’s prevenient grace is sent to us, so that we have free will to continue to follow after the Gospel, or we can reject it. God’s grace is given to us at baptism, when the person is set apart as a Christian, & becomes part of God’s family.
But, we are not automatons. Not robots!! We can yank ourselves out of God’s hands. We can still choose to sin, because we stiill have a will of our own, even though we have become Christians.

Do Catholics and Protestants believe in the same Gospel?
**It has been my experience that most Catholics and Protestants place stumbling blocks before themselves. Both confuse their English translation of the Bible as being the inspired Word of God. Another stumbling block is their ignorate opinion of what Sacred Tradition is. **
the Truth already was, is and forever shall be! It is not by our own understanding that we receive Truth, it is by faith in that which has already been revealed “divine revelation” that we receive Truth. If we understood it all, then it would no longer be faith that we have.
**It is interesting that you included this statement with your citation of John 6:55. Let me explain by defining some words; flesh, food, and true.

Let’s take a look at the food that Jesus offers.

Joh 4:32
But (Jesus) said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about .”

Food = Will of God

Joh 4:34
Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.

Joh 6:27
“Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

Flesh = Will of God = Truth

John 6:55
"For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink.

John goes on to define what truth is.

Joh 1:14
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Truth =Flesh = Jesus = Word =Full of Grace=Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit only comes through Jesus

14:6
Jesus *said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

John 14:15
If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, to be with you for ever, 17 even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; you know him, for he dwells with you, and will be in you. I will not leave you desolate; I will come to you.

The algebraic equation of John 6:55 is:

Truth =Flesh = Jesus = Word =Full of Grace=Holy Spirit.
**

Yes, the gospel of Protestants and Catholics are the same.

If Protestants were teaching a different gospel, then some of what us Catholics are preaching would be considered a different gospel.
**
IMHO, these statements are misleading. There are only two doctrines in the Bible. Paul talked about another gospel. That gospel exists even today.

II Cor 11:3,4,13-15 But I fear lest by any means as the serpent beguiled (exapatao - seduce wholly) Eve through his subtility (panourgia - shrewd, clever, cunning), so your minds should be corrupted (phtheiro - deprave, ruin, defile) from the simplicity (haplos-singleness, implies pure or holy) that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth “another Jesus”-- (this is not the Jesus of the Bible that says we must take up our cross daily, deny (aparneomai - utterly contradict) ourselves, forsake all that we have or we cannot be his disciple - Luke 9:23;14:27,33) --whom we have not preached, or if ye receive “another spirit”, (small s–the Holy Spirit is Truth - John 14:17, 15:26, & 16:13, 1 John 5:6–They will preach another truth, which is not the truth at all, but a lie disguised as the truth) – which ye have not received, or “another gospel”,–the true gospel is death to the flesh/self and the resurrection daily in our mortal bodies - 1 Cor 15:1-4, 2 Cor 4:10-12,16,17 -

The “other Jesus” requires no death to self, no daily cross, no self denial, but rather, this Jesus does not resurrect in us daily – instead he says to us that we can “distribute fortunes” (daemon) to ourselves thus ruling our own flesh, setting our own rules and overthrowing (diabolos) the law of God in our lives – this gospel is no gospel, that fulfills the flesh.) It is the devil’s counterfeit gospel.-which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. For such are false apostles deceitful (dolios- to live by trickery, decoy, guile) workers, transforming (metaschematizo - disguise or change) themselves into the apostles of Christ (It is the devil disguised as Jesus)–but it is another Jesus. And no marvel - for Satan himself is transformed (metaschematizo - disguised) into an angel of light… Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed (metaschematizo - disguised) as the ministers of righteousness: whose end shall be according to their works. (They will pass themselves off as truth-sayers when they are soothsayers.)

Nearly every TV Evangelical Ministry I’ve ever saw preaches the other gospel that Paul writes about.

ZOOEY 😃

First of all - those verses are in the Bible with regard to perseverance. I did not write them.

I do have an example from Acts 27 for you to illustrate…

Look in Acts 27

A group of people including Paul are on a ship and in trouble…Here is what Paul says has been God’s decree…

Acts 27:21-25 KJV 21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss. 22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man’s life among you, but of the ship. 23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, 24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee. 25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

That is like the decree in 1 John 5:4 - You will be saved - I promise you…God is sovereign and has predestined this to occur. So, does that mean everyone just sits back and lets God do everything?? No, look what then happens…

Acts 27:30-31 KJV 30 And as the shipmen were about to flee out of the ship, when they had let down the boat into the sea, under colour as though they would have cast anchors out of the foreship, 31 Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved.

God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility working together - and God ordains both…predestines both.

Hi,
Catholic and Protestants read the same scripture. Protestants protest against it. That is why they are called protest-ants. They are protesting Christians if they are baptized, some protestants are believers. I don’t know the Protestant Jesus. They say some things that are true about Jesus, but in general I don’t know the Jesus they talk about. I hope this doesn’t sound too harsh, but, I reject the Protestant Jesus, and if what they say about him is true, then I wouldn’t be a Christian. Jesus is the truth, and doesn’t say one thing and mean another.
