I found it depressing that Hillary Clinton got anywhere near the Presidency. Thank GOD she lost!

I don’t think Trump is as pro-life as you think he is.
Trump doesn’t have the pro-life history, but since the campaign, Trump has been pro-life and most of those who vehemently attacked and attack him are pro-abortion, so I don’t believe he will change on this issue, and most importantly, Mike Pence has the pro-life track record to go with it, I do not believe Pence would continue on if Trump started to support abortion, and if Pence left Trump I would be gone too.

Thank you for reading.

When someone does things like that against the Church and the most innocent, and Clinton who was even worse thanks to WikiLeaks, they get a bit more of a reaction from me then ‘I never really liked them’

Thank you for reading.
Did you miss the part where I was in middle school?

Likewise, when someone does everything Trump has done and is trying to do, they get a bit more of a reaction from me than “well Clinton…” Clinton has nothing to do with Trump’s policies. People keep bringing her up because it’s the only excuse they have for continuing to support a horrible president. Even then, it’s not a valid excuse at all, because he’s not running anymore. People seem to forget that we’re almost a year into his presidency.

Yes and I do wish more extremely religious people would understand this basic political concept.

We are not voting on a person’s moral qualities, important as those are. Whoever we vote for, they will still be flawed, as all human beings are.

Like it or not, in our two-party system you are simply voting for the best candidate who has a chance of winning, and it is nearly always a choice between only two people. You can write in whoever you want but that is an exercise in vanity, you aren’t actually participating in selecting the president in any consequential way.

I suppose you think he is racist too? and anti women?

Why do you assume that people who didn’t vote for your preferred candidate have their eyes shut?

Are you aware that a person can have mixed feelings about a person and vote for them anyway, because of an actual danger from the other candidate?

You are aware that Obama attacked the first amendment, and Clinton was totally on board with it…

…aren’t you?

  1. Who was my preferred candidate? 2. I’m talking about what Trump is currently doing: it’s his bootlickers who keep reverting to the presidential race.

lol, and my eyes are apparently shut.

I don’t think this can be solved over an anonymous forum board, so I don’t think you and I will get anywhere, but to open your eyes, I would recommend you take a pro-life sign to a woman’s rally that is in opposition to Trump and his supposedly anti-woman agenda, and see what kind of reaction you get.

Thank you for reading.

I’ve supported Trump since the beginning and I think he’s doing a great job as president. He’s getting a lot done and is very dedicated to his office and the country, which I find very admirable.

bootlickers
LOL at the attempt at shaming!

The thread title is “do Catholics still support trump”

The answer is “yes”
The reasons are numerous and explained above.

I’m done with this conversation.

Be at peace.

🙂

It might seem hard for a single issue voter to understand, but Trump isn’t saving any fetuses. He keeps making cuts to social programs that many poor and struggling women take advantage of. It’s not enough to say you’re pro-life: you have to work to create conditions which actually reduce the demand for abortion.

Those are strong words against someone who hasn’t been convicted.

And who are you to know hearts (criminal intent)?

It’s best to go to confession. The sin is called bearing false witness.

Another fallacy. It’s not enough for you to say ‘thou shalt not steal’, you have to create the conditions so that I don’t want what you have.

What are you talking about?

In the old days, the Monarch made those decisions. Today, here, it’s government by the people.
