We don’t need to like what our president does, but we are supposed to respect the president. Because we all have a sin nature, it can be very tricky to give someone the benefit of the doubt. The sin nature also means that the president is not going to be perfect regardless of how much we support or oppose the candidate in office.
It was really hard to respect Obama. It’s very hard for some liberals to respect Trump, but we all must try. It was hard because it is my personal belief that the Democrats put pagan secularism over a belief in Jesus Christ nor respect those who do. It also made me feel that they passed laws and than rubbed our noses in it (in their excessive regulation) knowing full well that we were opposed to it. They may be Catholic or Protestant or Evangelical, but it’s hard to see someone that actually practices their faith not only in attending Sunday mass or service but also in the living of their everyday life. When someone says that there’s a special place in Hell for women who don’t help each other, it’s really hard to see that person as a Christian.
