Do the Hooters restaurant chains objectify women?

Apparently the underwear in Ann Summers is very good quality but I still can’t persuade my innocent 😇 husband to go in there.
 
I prefer to live in ignorance of what the food is like 🙂 All I know is the name, and I’ll leave it at that.
I stopped counting how many chains of places to eat out there are when I visited the US (so many!!)
I doubt anyone will go hungry in avoiding the place like a good catholic and Christian should do :+1:t4:
 
Why not take that position to its logical conclusion and become a monk on Mount Athos.

But seriously, the goal is to be in the world not of the world.
Why not go to hooters no more than you would any other place and if you do, then treat the waitresses as human beings. And try not to stare at the … owls.

“Become a monk” does not follow from “don’t go to Hooters, they make sex objects of their waitstaff.”

Treat the waitstaff as human beings? Yes, I will. And the first mark of my respect for them is that I refuse to participate in the contemptible treatment given them by the management.

At ALL costs? No. It’s just a restaurant with standard bar food where the waitresses wear short shorts. You see more skin on the beach. It’s not a strip club or a brothel.

Generally, though, yes. It’s kind of demeaning to women and the food is no different than what you’d get at any chain restaurant.

Honestly, this place caters to men who like to oogle and flirt with pretty girls. The food is not why they go there.
Why does it matter if you’re not going?
Soon, places like this will go out of business anyway, as people are more and more attuned to inappropriateness. When things get really rabid, there’s always a moral backlash. (outrage)

It would be rather embarrassing if you were unfamiliar with the chain and unaware what sort of establishment it was.
 
Heavy makeup is debatable in morality…

skimpy outfits not so much
 
How is this a question we have to ask? The business model is called “breastaurant”

I hate when places do that. Is it even sanitary to where skimpy outfits?

But, walk ons has good food though. They have this really good BBQ chicken salad. I wish they would change the outfits but it’s not too bad, just cheerleading outfits. Still not good.
 
I once innocently walked into a bar to ask for directions…didn’t know it was topless bar…now I can tell you as a male I was sweating bullets keeping eye to eye contact while getting directions…I’m no prude but it was embarrassing…
