Hi Mark,Very good aimee! Now, can you tell me what that little bit on my sig means? Auctore Deo?
I answered ânoâ to the poll because of the wording; we obviously donât need one. I have no objection there being one, though.Do you think we need another forum to practice our Latin?
ahhh I did say I can googleFantastic! In the immortal words of The Eagles, youâre too cool for school!
:yup:
Primer of Ecclesiastical Latin is very popular for teaching the Churchâs Latinlike a good beginning text?
Iâm not so sure but didnât Cicero speak Greek? What little I remember, I learned from Italian priests. I prefer it to the âscholarlyâ versions that claim a better understanding of classical pronounciation.
Donât know if itâs already been sugested, but it could be called the Latin Quarter.
Trick question: Did Cicero say Way-nee weedy wee-chee, or Vein-ee Vee-dee Vee-chee?
Jim.
Ahhh yesâŚJulius Ceasar . You know this is more interesting than I thoughtâŚCicero didnât say it; Julius Caesar did.
