I’d love to be able to watch EWTN
In the UK we can get seven Christian television stations through satellite without paying a subscription to Sky. All are protestant and nearly all fill the majority of their schedules with a certain kind of protestant. So if you’re into your focus being prosperity and physical healing you’re well catered for. (of course, there are speakers in the schedules that I like).
EWTN television would be great. The radio station is available (channel 897) alongside about a dozen protestant radio stations but a lot of the time the programme that’s on is not the programme that the television says is on. That seems to be a regular problem with christian radio through Sky. A regular problem with christian television is the sound not being in sync with the picture making viewing a challenge.
But I suppose the call for EWTN television in the UK wouldn’t be that large and probably the money it would cost to provide would not be justified by the audience size. And without regular “if you give us a thousand pounds you’ll be healed” weeks like the other channels have, I doubt that the cost would be covered by UK catholics with a Sky dish.
It would be nice to have more opportunity to listen too. One day. One day.
