My 9 year old DD tells me I’m a sap, and I might have to agree.
At Mass yesterday I started to cry (not break down weeping cry, I was composed, but crying) during the Gospel. I am often moved to tears as I walk to received Our Lord. Don’t even get me started on Good Friday - I’m a wreck thinking about what they did to Our Lord & Savior. I used to be self conscience about it, but finally gave up trying to hide it because it took away from my involvement in the Mass. Now I just try to sit away from others (which means I am usually in the front pew).
I try to think about His Passion in a possitive light (He did it willingly so we could be saved), but I just can’t help to think about how awful it must have been for him and his followers. Then I think of what Mary went through and I start all over again. I’m almost in tears writing this.
Does anyone else experience this or I am just too emotional?
