Don’t be embarrased!! I have cried several times. The first time I ever cried was after my unlce’s funeral (aside from crying at the wake and funeral). He was only 6 yrs older than me and was really close to me, I saw him as my older brother (even though he was my mom’s baby brother). After his funeral, when I went to Mass, I would hold a rosary in my hands, and just being at Mass made me cry because I’d remember him and the funeral.
It’s been almost 3 years since then, and sometimes I still cry for that same reason. Now, aside from that, I have cried for other things.
I married a JW, and I have cried because he is misguided and we’re not married through the CC. That makes me cry every now and then. I feel unworthy to be at Mass because I am not a “complete” Catholic (or that’s how I feel). I cannot receive communion, and it saddens me a lot.
I am sorry to hear that, it seems very sad. Is there nothing the church can do for you to be able to go to communion? I remember a person in our church who had a girlfriend and was not annuled so all the twenty years I knew him he never went to communion and he was always downtroden. I know that thats not the way the bible tells us to be even though we will always have our troubles.
God bless you I hope you find a way to receive communion.
He is there to confort you at all times. I feel protected when I cry there. I feel as if God’s sitting next to me listening to my sorrows.
