Do you kill bugs?

I discovered yesterday that 2 of my kids have lice! It’s the summer- no school, we’ve never had lice before, and summer colds had kept us home for the last two weeks. I’m really scratching my head as to how we got it(sorry).

So YES I KILL BUGS. Kill kill kill them all. Whatever it takes. I don’t feel guilty about it. I’m not about to mercifully release them into the wild.

I’ve had time to really ponder the term nitpicking. Also If it weren’t peobably locked, I’d go back into the thread where the lady thought playpens were horrible evil baby prisons and offer that they are louse-free baby sanctuaries in times of crisis.
 
Only flies and miller moths and wasps, and only when they’re in my home.

I never kill spiders 'cause they eat many many bugs and so are my friends.
 
First of all, bugs belong in the wild, not inside people’s houses. So I don’t hesitate to kill them indoors. Second, they may carry diseases. The Black Death came from fleas and lice.
 
Probably not to your level, but I do avoid killing bugs. My husband showed me an easy way to get rid of flies in the house. You just turn off all the lights, then let the only light come from the door to the outside. Flies are attracted to light, so they’ll all congregate at the door, and when they get there, you can simply open the door & they should fly out.

I especially try to help out spiders.

To keep myself honest though, we have Orkin pest control and many ants have lost their lives from this.
 
I found a redneck spider cabal today.

Its going to have a chemical spray tragedy tomorrow
 
what if there are bunch more flies outside, wanting to come in? and Mozzies and the like
 
We test them first to see if they are carrying any fatal diseases.
 
Check their papers first … make sure that have their innoculations.
 
Nooooooo. Big big no in our household.

To a bug, their life has just as much importance as your life.

I do get the heebie jeebies over spiders so transportation to the garden is offered by my husband.
 
Reminds me of one time when I saw the nose of a reptile creature, I thought it was a snake, it kept hiding under the porch and scared the daylights out of me. It kept appearing and disappearing. I made my hubby take the pistol and shoot it… (I hate snakes!) Turned out it was a large toad… I had no idea what a toad’s nose looked like. I was totally fooled… 😦
 
i stomp, kill , spray insects w/ poison w/out the slightest bit of mercy

insects are soul-less, creatures, we’re’ve’ d moral decisions had’ve been up to them; they’d would destroy the human race w/out any thought

ps ; insects are not capable of thought…

destroy pests, kill & destroy

ps i’ve enlisted “helpful” bugs in the war on pests

eg “ladybugs”

a third & final thought on this subject; a “mosquito” lands on your forearm in this hot, miserable summer & starts to drink your blood; meantime passing God “knows what” bacteria from it’s last victim

are you going “kill the bug”? ; i think most likely, yes…

Depends on what sort. Disease carrying flies and roaches and mosquitoes- you betcha

Harmless things like ants I will brush away but not kill.
