Do you kill bugs?

I understand, but I dont think a cockroach is comparable to humans.
I love animals, generally speaking, but if we start putting human emotions onto animals excessively and feeling too much sympathy/empathising with them, then really we would all become vegans because we would be averse to killing the animals.
In this society, its no longer necessary to get nutrition from animals so most of meat eating is really done due to taste purpose.
I believe animals should always be treated humanely, but if a bug comes it can be necessary/ok to kill them.
I don’t think they have the consciousness to really be too bothered or put much thought about it.
It’s more humans that project our feelings onto them (I’m speaking specifically regarding bugs not dogs and cat).

I definitely kill any cockroaches because I’m terrified of them.
Luckily, baits seem to keep them away:)
Here, in Pennsylvania, they live in the sewers and come up through the drains- Asian roaches.

I just sprinkle boric acid around the drain to give them a welcome.

For those of you who are from more tropical climates, they probably live out in your yard , I wouldn’t know what to do about those guys if they were coming through the front door

depending on the bug. Lady bugs I wont kill, daddy long legs the same. Most others I will squash.

Eek! I’ll take out each of the legs first before finishing it off

the bugs are winning the war

they will be here long after humans are gone

kill them, kill them all

I kill them every time unless they serve a purpose that I know is useful. (Like spiders in a crawlspace keeping the number of bugs under control. Don’t forget, honeybees are bugs, people!)

In front of my front door a spider built a web every day, I wouldn’t kill it I would just tear down the web. But it continued to build one in the same place, where my face would experience it each morning until I killed it.

There are some bugs I will kill outright. Zero tolerance for such creatures like cockroaches, centipedes, hornets, black widow spiders.

The others I tolerate and some I like. I like wolf spiders, garden spiders, ladybugs, lightning bugs, dragonflies, honeybees, bumblebees, other bees 🐝. I welcome them in my garden.

Adding 15-20 drops of essential oil to your cleaning or mopping solution can repel insects.

This works… until it’s dry.

Heck, Fabuloso can do this and it’s way cheaper.

I think killing an entire species that benefits the environment may be a sin but killing individuals of that species treating your home like the environment outside is not.
