You really don’t need to “defend yourself”. Either the other person is right, and there’s no way out of it; or they are wrong, and just looking for a fight. I can only say that when I try to defend myself, I don’t like it.
Thought I would just check if I still had the last word. Apparently not. I hope they don’t close this as we are approaching First Holy Communion weekend and we are all running around busy as for various reasons we are starting from scratch on most things. So it cannot close when I am up to my eyes in emails, orders of services etc. I need a fair chance of getting in the last word.
I’m hearing you …it sounds happily hectic! God bless you for doing what you do.Ill remember you in prayers.
And I will let you get the last word…next time
Hi. Wow, Fr C did not pull and punches at the two first Holy Communion masses. He really went to town on parental responsibility.
Next year, the next set of parents considering enrolling their children into the first Holy Communion program are in for a shock. Only those children, whose parents will attend each session (22 in total) with them, just before Sunday mass, then attend and participate (e.g. readers and offertory) will be accepted on the program.
The downside with the new program is that we have no break between programs because Father delegates more than our previous priest and this is a new program which has a lot more planning (deeper and broader). On the joyful side, I have a trainee catechist with me. When I say trainee, it is only as a catechist as she is training to be a teacher, so I reckon I will learn a lot from her.
