Jimmy, amen to what you’ve said. I am still a catechumen, planning to be received into the Church this coming Easter. Father Corapi, through his programs on EWTN, was one of my first catechists. I have learned much about my faith through him and would recommend his talks to anyone.
I like Father John Corapi and enjoy listening to his message, usually on EWTN. His style might seem assertive to some “timid” people, but his message, is a good one and consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

I like His approach. Then again, it doesn’t matter. I also like priests who speak softly.

In my parish alone; we are blessed with a very soft-spoken priest and an assertive priest, much like Fr. Corapi, I love both of them and their different styles.

Who the priest is, is never a factor for me or any Catholic, when it comes to attending Mass or practicing other Sacraments.

I do not base my decisions, regarding the my Catholic faith or the Catholic Church, or whether or not I’ll go to “church”, Mass, based on who the priest(s) might me. I go to “church” to be with Jesus.

It’s Jesus and “the message” or His “message” that counts! I pay attention to the message, not to the person or the building.

My focus, united with all Catholics, is on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, One God, and His “Message”.

My primary focus, as a Catholic, is on Jesus Christ, regardless of the servant (priest) dispensing the teachings or Sacraments.

I am not concerned with “preaching styles”; Or a specific individual giving the message.

The message of Roman Catholic Church is One message, united, un-changed, for over 2000 years, with all Catholics world wide united, today and back to the very beginning…

On any given day, a Catholic Mass is the same “message” world-wide!

What do you think?;

Do you like or dislike Father Corapi?

Does the “Priest” or “preacher” affect your “church going” practices?

I love Father Corapi too! I have been blessed to have seen
him in my area several times. When you meet him he
is actually a quiet person, even a little shy. I have learned
so much from him, I wish there were many more like him,
the truth needs to be told.👍

I have experienced him twice and will be going in June to see him in Buffalo. But you are right…he is very humble and he even signed a couple fo books for me. May the lord bless him and keep him safe!

Do I like Father Corapi?

No.

😉

I Love Father Corapi!!!

I have his whole Catechism on DVD and CD (both).
I also have his Q & A on the Catechism on DVD!

I have soooo many of his talks on DVD and CD!!
I have some of them on my iPod already but I have to still get all of them in there.

Father Corapi has a very distinctive voice too! He grabs my attention as soon as I hear his voice! I listen to him on Relevant Radio and I watch him on EWTN. I also listen to him on my iPod and my CDs. If I ever feel like watching him and he isn’t scheduled on EWTN, I just pop a DVD in the player and I watch him!

I love his “Word of God” talks! He explains the Dogmatic Constitution of Divine Revelation! I have both the DVDs and CDs!

I just got his newest CD called “Come Home to the Catholic Church” because of my protestant brother. I love it!

You had me going there for a second! Keep fanning that flame sista!

I love Father Corapi. One of the reasons is that he uses the five key words:

Right
Wrong
Sin
Heaven
Hell

👍
This is true! I listened to him on EWTN and he said “Satan’s favourite color is grey!” Ouch! Extreme “progressives” must hate the guy…that’s the only color they know! :rotfl:

👍 I want that flame burning too!

Fr. Corapi’s “The Word” is on right now. Well not right at this moment but that is the series that is on EWTN now. Fr. Corapi calls it, “How Catholic’s Read the Bible.”

I’ve listened to him for months and used to think he was very good, although overly dramatic, but I really 'can’t stand him when he gets into politics.

Where is the love for people who don’t share his conservative views? Christ said turn the other cheek “seventy times seven” times yet when Fr. Corapi talks about “liberals” there is so much hatred in his voice he makes my skin crawl.
I’m an anti abortion Liberal and proud of it.

Did I imagine it or did he say on a speech the other day (I don’t know when it was recorded) that some teenagers were “mocking” him recently at a CCD talk he was giving and he was so angered by them he prayed that “suffering” would be visited upon them. (!!)

Also, I saw a photo of him smiling while holding on to a brown bear he had just, apparently, killed with all this blood in the snow and the bear’s eyes were open and his tongue was lolling out. It was horrendous. That bear was one of God’s creatures - why did he feel he had to kill it and then smile about it?
It was very upsetting to me and I used to have him on a pedestal in terms of some of his homilies on suffering and the cross.
No more.

Fr corapi is a rare gift indeed. He tells it like it is…Truth is the only thing he is worried about teaching. If you are offended by this, I went to a Fr Groeschel conference and he called Catholics ‘stupid’ quite a number of times. I also have heard Mother Angelica do so also! Either you are for Christ or you are not. Satan loves the grey color as noted…and these holy people (corapi-Groeschel-Mother Angelica…man, what a trinity of Truth bearers) will not play the false compassion game.

God bless them all…and we sorely need them!🙂

Fr. Corapi is no-holds-barred and that is what I like about him. He speaks the truth like no other!

…and God gave man dominion over all creatures.

Maybe the bear will kill him if he didn’t. :bigyikes:

I have never thought that he was ‘overly dramatic’ I think that is just his personality.

Christ said to forgive seventy times seven times.
Matthew 18:21-22: "Then Peter approaching asked him, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy-seven times.”
I am afraid that I have never heard “hatred in his voice” ever. I have listened to his talks a lot and never, ever experienced that.
Did I imagine it or did he say on a speech the other day (I don’t know when it was recorded) that some teenagers were “mocking” him recently at a CCD talk he was giving and he was so angered by them he prayed that “suffering” would be visited upon them. (!!)
You must have imagined it. If you feel that you have not, please provide the support for this, if not you are defaming Fr. Corapi’s character and you would owe him an apology.

I voted no. He is just to vulgar and emotional for me and does not inspire me to anything. Now father Rutller there is a priest. 👍
I.

Please provide a copy of this photo.
I knew what she/he was talking about because it really sickened me so I just thought I would post the picture. I do not mean to offend anyone, and if it is offensive please feel free to remove this post Mods.

It is called hunting and last time I checked it was not a sin to hunt animals. Please do not throw out, “thou shall not kill” as a defense. We all know that hunting animals is not a sin, even to hunt game for recreation. Why is it that Fr. Corapi is not allowed to do so? Is he different than any other person that loves to hunt?

i found catholic radio, and then fr. corapi and CA.
and as a result i found the catholic church. 👍
prior to that i was an ignorant catholic.
amen for fr. corapi :clapping:

I think the photo is fake…photoshop, maybe
Yeah I dont usually believe blogs but here is the place he hunted it at. Since Im a little bit of an animal rights person, I new the chioces were rare

stoneyriverlodge.com/BrH.html

I dont have a problem with hunting for food but hunting for the point of killing I find disgusting. To sit there and watch the life of an animal drain before your eyes and rejoice in the violence for the point of violence and to dance in it ts blood is disgusting and vile.

Also think about this the cost for joining a brown bear hunt is around 12,00 dollars. This is not like hunting deer this is violence and destruction of the environment for enjoyment.
