Do you like or dislike Father Corapi?

😃 sorry I came off as an oppressed soul. I don’t feel like one at all! You can ask my friends who love Fr. Corapi on here, I am actually a free-spirit which got me into trouble in my youth :eek: 😉 😃 naww, I might have come off as a bit abrasive to some… but the truth isn’t always easy to here 😛

I love St. Teresa of Avia 👍 I have a favorite priest that another poster turned me on to in CAF. I LOVE his message. I’ll PM my friend and ask him what the priests name was agian. I feel terrible I don’t remember the name. I also love Bishop Sheen’s message on EWTN and a bit of Mother Angelica.

Another fact. Whether you believe it or not. Calling Fr. Corapi a prophet of our time, I’m not too sure about that one. I think he knows his faith upside down and in and out. I don’t think many of us who have claim to that. I do believe it is o.k. to question so-called “prophets”. Fr. Corapi is not a fundamentalist, nor evangelical. All he does (which is really quite a bit!) is tell the TRUTH! That Truth is God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What he preaches (Fr. Corapi) is not rocket science. Why people take offence to what he says, is too bad for them. He speaks the TRUTH. If you don’t like his manner/personality - that’s another thing. There’s people I don’t particularly care for, but if they speak the Truth, it’s the Truth. Period. I don’t care if I like him or not. I think some of us ought to think about that.😃

Fr. Corapi is an intelligent man, doubtless sincere. However, when he comes on EWTN I change channels.
Why? Not precisely sure. I find him offensive in what strikes me as his arrogance. And he often expresses harsh and unfair judgments. I believe he is not an asset on EWTN and alienates those who are not the most faithful Catholics.

Thanks Roy, you bring up another good point as to what my problem is with him. There’s no doubt he loves the faith heart and soul but I feel his message is wrong at times.
 
one of fr. corapi’s “jobs” is to wake up the lukewarm. we all don’t hear our wakeup call at the same time. when i heard mine, it sent shock waves down my spine.

fr. corapi is an asset to the catholic church. 👍

I mostly enjoy the lectures given by Fr. Corapi. But his voice can be irritating. It is not his message which I find offensive - he has a great message. It is the piercing tone of his voice. He often distorts the microphone. The timbre in his voice hurts my ears, yet the message in his heart is compelling. Just my opinion.

Right on! 👍 I am subscribed to his Weekly Wisdom website. I think his teaching is excellent and timely and he loves sinners enough to tell them the Truth. :ouch:
 
I would like to know specifically what Fr. Corapi teaches that is incorrect (someone posted that). I think it was the person who changes the channel when he’s on. (I think…) Anyway, Fr. Corapi presents the Truth in an “in your face” fashion. Some of us need it. 😃

i can understand people like lukewarm Catholics being offended. Jesus said he would spit those people out. i wouldn’t like to be spit out either! 😃

Fr. Corapi obviously isn’t perfect and i’m sure we could find something he said that was at some level, wrong. the opinion in this thread i think is, he is one of the best we got. if you don’t think so, perhaps you might give him another chance based on this thread.

when i first watched Bishop Sheen, i really didn’t get him at all. didn’t understand the fascination. later i guess it just clicked and i finally saw just how great an orator and faithful Catholic he was.
 
I :love: Fr. Corapi and got the chance to experience his preaching first hand at a parish mission years ago. He was an extremely humble man when meeting him in person. He truly cares for your soul.
 
I LOVE Father Corapi!! SERIOUSLY! I love how he speaks the truth and isn’t afraid to say it. He gives me hope that all the priests aren’t just trying to please the laypeople. I want to come to church and be TAUGHT not babied.

:clapping: But not only the letter, but also to the spirit of the Magisterium. Obedience is primary in the test of obedience. I love him and we are blessed to have him speak the truth.

Unfortunately, put that voice to a very good looking singer or actor, and it would not even be an issue. Maybe, he is being judged within the ‘world’s’ perception.🤷
