Counter-Clockwise, all my little rosary books pointed in that direction. Hum…
I’ve always wanted to know for sure, though!
I’ve always wanted to know for sure, though!
I pray it counter clockwise…don’t know why.I’m left-handed, but I use my right hand to hold the beads! Go figure! I go counter-clockwise – that’s the way my Rosary brochure instructs.
Meggie, you made me laugh…“most of the time I get past the apostles creed and fall asleep so its neither direction for me…”
And I thought I was the only one who fell asleep while praying the Rosary in bed! What a delicious way to fall asleep, though.
That medal is called the “center,” or sometimes the “centerpiece.” (Just in case you were wondering.)… of the front of the **medal **or …
Yup, only do tapes in the car as the beads led me to sleep. It is a great way to end the day!!Counter when using the Rosary beads. While driving I use the fingers on my right hand from pinky to thum and then to the left hand from pinky to thum. Slight pressure on the wheel to keep track.
Do you know how many decades it takes for you to drive to your frequent destinations? Do you ever slow down so you could complete the Rosary without rushing?
YEP!Me too! I guess it’s because the right side seems the right side to start.
God bless.
It makes absolutely no difference. The rosary can be said without a “rosary.” The rosary has next to nothing to do with the beads that are used for helping one to keep track of where one is. There should be no superstitions attached to a devotional object such as a set of rosary beads.Do you pray the Rosary clockwise or counter-clockwise? In other words, do you begin the first decade with the bead on the left side of the front of the medal or on the right side?
Do you have any special reason for the method you use?
