Do you think some fundamentalists voted for Obama to hasten the end of the world?

Come on man, you know they kept the plans to that prototype! Plummer (general chang) just got caught up in the moment quoting Shakespeare! It happens, dude! LOL

The Welk torpedoes are slow, guidance system not the greatest, but my God when they reach their target…total absolute, unequivocal boredom and paralysis for ten parsecs…
Okay, but that was prototype…and look what happened to it! I mean, not even Christopher Plummer could stop it from being obliterated.

Welk torpedos, are you kidding?? Do you know how long it takes weaponized bubbles to reach their target?

Yeah, they kept the plans and decided never to use them again, because the only Klingons who make it through to become captains have a propensity to be overly melodramatic and end up losing ships that cost a fortune to build strictly on prototype designs.

Okay, but how is that different than what happens on the bridge of any other Federation Starship?

Oh I no you aint’ dissin my Federation heroes. I know you ain’t!
Federation…bah…“We come in peace, unless you disagree with us politically, in which case, you’re toast, buddy.” Socialist terran pig dogs.

I didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag, but there is a new type of photon torpedo. It’s the Robert Gibbs torpedo. Loaded for bear, it has full-on Robert Gibbs press secretary greatest hits commentary that will completely melt the hull of any starship anywhere anytime. The Ferengi got a hold of it and mass produced it for a heck of a profit. While an enemy is trying to understand the song-and-dance bizarre musings of this strange man, it has a creeping paralysis that corodes the hull in minutes. The torpedo is called the bloviator 5000

:D:DYou won’t figure me out, Bumster. I’m complicated. Socially I’m very conservative. I hate abortion, loath gay rights, believe in traditional marriage, I’m for gun rights, am repulsed at cohabitation, can’t stand divorce, and I’d be generally very happy living in the 1950’s LOL…I believe in American sovereignty and don’t like illegal immigration, etc.

On the other hand, I am VERY pro-union. I’m a union rep at my school site. Unions are the guys that brought us weekends :p…I like having due process in our job, protection, advocates for our pay and benefits, and generally labor is sacred to me. I’m not saying all unions are saints, that’s for sure, but it’d be hell without 'em.

I’m pro environment big time but not off the extreme deep-end. Clear-cutting makes me want to vomit. Wetlands, national forests, conservation, recycling, and carbon footprint I’m all ok with.

I’m an animal rights sorta guy. I would never hunt. I eat a lot of vegetarian in my diet, not a lot of meat.

I’m opposed to vouchers, think they’re lunacy…

I’m against bail-outs

I’m for healthcare reform

I think everything should be written in English, NO Spanish period

Roe v. Wade should be overturned completely

I’m open to the idea of evolution

I hate American Idol

Yet I like progressive rock LOL and I adore my beloved San Francisco Giants…btw San Francisco is my favorite city ANYWHERE ever. Talk about a liberal town, but dang I love it. I like to think of myself as a Dirty Harry San Francisco Fan!! 😃

I don’t toe the line with any of these parties. I believe kernels of truth from both. Right now after seeing what Obama has done to public education and what he plans on doing further, we’d be just as well off with a Republican. We have been devastated in California by the gross spending of Dems like Gray Davis and yet Arnie has been even worse. I’m not happy with either possibility…I’m a complex character!

I’m complicated, man, you won’t figure me out…
Agreed on most points:thumbsup: Especially the San Francisco stance. I wish the union would change some of their agenda (don’t know it it’s NEA you’re talking about) and I’ve been known to watch AI–and can’t explain why.🤷

LOL…now THAT is truly frightening.

The Jimmy Carter torpedo is even more potent. Able to maintain multiple bursts of high interest rates and inflation as well as peanut oil while embolding the enemy, it is deceptive and dangerous. The problem with the torpedo, however, is that it tends to think the origin of its launch is somehow its enemy, like Hamas is somehow the good guy. It thinks its own people are the problem and the enemy is the solution, a freedom fighter, so it is still very volatile and experimental.

And also, that torpedo has a tendency, when you fire two of them at a time, to crash in to each other.

And go take my poll on the canon, blast it, and comment! LOL

Behind it all is Joe Biden, whom I have always suspected of being Kleezantsun. Check his wrist…there’s a tatoo there. I wonder if Triune knows the sci fi I’m referencing…test time…

Oh gosh, you’re going to make me think now. It’s like, right there LOL

Sure. One of the paranoid fantasies of fundamentalist Christians.

I am somewhat skeptical about the claim that Obama is cleaning up the mess. In some respects yes, in others no, in others he’s making a bit of a mess on his own account. (How’s that for nice and vague?)

But the Illuminati don’t have anything to do with it.

It’d be a nice world if you were right… too bad.

Do some research, it’s really not hard to see. Use your own discernment and look at the facts. It’s amazing how many people can’t tell when they’re being lied to.

If you had all the power in the world and didn’t believe in God, would you tell the truth to the masses? Think about it.

That is how I came to abandon that paranoid way of looking at the world in the first place. Conspiracy theories can’t survive an open-minded look at the facts. What you really mean is “look at the carefully selected facts my favorite authors will show you, and view them from the assumption that there must be a conspiracy.”
If you had all the power in the world and didn’t believe in God, would you tell the truth to the masses?
Actually, atheists think that someone who had all the power in the world and did believe in God wouldn’t tell the truth to the masses. Funny how our fears mirror each other.

It’s a moot point, since there has never been any human being who had all the power in the world.

I wasn’t aware of fundamentalists supporting Obama in any large numbers? Most fundamentalists I know follow Sarah Palin around in adoration and jubilation yielding her as the second coming? :p:D
It is not that the fundamentalists actually support Obama, but rather that voting for him might hasten the progression of the “end times” prophecies etc…I think that was the idea of the op. OP, correct me if I am wrong…
Nana

Would not these folks who are trying to forecast the end of the world, hasten its occurrence, position or support individuals, policies, industries or whatever to accomplish that end. Be the same ones who accuse us of dabbling in sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy, and divination - activities the Bible strongly condemns (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13) when we pray to the Blessed Mother or the Angels and Saints? Curious indeed.
How is a vote for Obama a vote for the end of the world. I doubt the road to hell is paved with universal health care.

Who said it had to result in the end of the world, though some are focused on that? It may be the end for a good chunk of humanity. There’s a prophesied renaissance of Catholicism after that before the second coming. If it’s dark in what should be daytime, don’t look out any windows, even with them closed, and have blessed water and candles (I think I heard 100% beeswax) as no other light would work. Prophecy is certainty, but why risk being wrong?

correct you are my Friend. but you really dont want it. i have it. its called army medicine. yes its paid for by tax payers, but sometimes you have to wait a year to get a surgery done that you can get taken care of with private insurance, in no time at all. i also have a very good friend who is a democrat and has lived abroad. and she said it will not work in the capitalist system we have today. no doctors are going to practice here when there is no profit to be made. nothing wrong with that. people who can afford it in socialized countries, come to the U.S. for medical care, instead of using there own system. case in point, Canadian parliment members. Peace 🙂

Bush jr. was doing a fine job of leading the world to ruin. Obama is cleaning up the mess.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That is the funniest joke I have seen in months. Two hysterical jokes in one post. Thank you for injecting some humor into this thread.

now now, lets not get testy. but seriously rpp. do you think its the end of the U.S. because a democrat is in office? weve survived worse. waco and ruby ridge come to mind. the social dialogue between liberals and conservatives suffered greatly due to poor leadership on both sides during the 1990’s. i think great strides have been made to moderate the debate. “read my lips. NO NEW TAXES!” didnt help much either. 😉 Peace 🙂
I do not fear a Democrat in the White House. Nor do I fear a Democrat controlled House and Senate.

And, no. America has not survived worse. America has not experienced a communist as President, a man dedicated to negating the Constitution.

However, that is not the situation. We have a Marxist in the White House and Socialists control both the Ho8use and Senate.

But these indisputable facts are off topic. Please do not derail this thread by trying to falsely imply that the Democrat Party controls the two of the three branches of Federal; government. No, Fundamentalists did not vote for the Marxism in the USA.

Oh, your spell checker needs a serious update. Sure, I am the typo king, but please, show some respect and use it.
