Do you think Villa Maria Academy should allow a female couple to attend the prom?

The disagreement has caused a buzz in the halls of the school, which will be closing in June after 87 years due to enrollment declines. Murphy circulated a petition and gathered signatures from at least a third of the 130 students.
I could see why there is enrollment declines if 1/3 of the students think this is a good idea.

I circulated a petition to guarantee that I graduate with honors but the officials didn’t seem to like that one either. The nerve of them!

Easy solution. No proms. They are all too young to handle an event like that properly. Maybe in the past they were not too young (when education was directed towards what is good) but today, they are. The event is of no benefit.
I agree. Though they are not too young, but not well formed spiritually and in basic moral character.

The distinction is that as these kids age, some will never obtain good spiritual formation. 😦

There never were any proms in Britain, but in recent years we have followed the US and more and more schools are offering them… however alot of the proms seem to have a problem with alcohol here…

Don’t feel bad: the officials at my HS cheated me too! 😛

And a short clip by one of the reporters

Not a word in either interview about Church teachings. Only the PC tolerance BS.
